Oasis in town. Walk to stadium (17 minutes) campus, or downtown restaurants within 10-15 minutes. Beautiful restored and remodeled luxury historic home in quiet, prime neighborhood. Fast WiFi, cable, large TVs, gourmet kitchen, huge private landscaped yard, private parking in 80’ driveway, new central air, state of art air purifier system, wood floors, high ceilings, keypad entrances, New private Zuni deck, HOT TUB, patio table, huge umbrella, fire pit. Entire 1st floor, deck, yard, parking. -Beautiful, classic historic home with original wood floors/trim, high ceilings, new luxury features and amazing amenities. It is a large home with newer additions. The second floor consists of an apartment rented to a quiet, professional couple. The porch is shared, but the two units have locking doors. On occasion we also rent out a single, studio unit, with its own entrance. Inquire about this at time of request. I do not currently have plans to rent it, but check if this is important to you. Neither has access to your deck, hot tub, full yard, or parking. If you need another bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom, Inquire about renting that unit also. Main house/this rental- -Gourmet kitchen (granite countertops and farm sink, Kraftmaid cabinets, heated travertine floors, triple filtered water, Bosh dishwasher, stainless steel top of line appliances, gas stove, Keurig, Delongi-Etta Expresso machine, complete dishware, pottery, All Clad, and complete cooking items). -Living Room-Stickel leather mission sofas, Piano. Sonos. -Air conditioned with specialized, state of art -air filtration and built in device with bacteria killing lights. Additional plug-in air filter available. -Keypad front door entry. -Office or comfortable space for the 3rd bed (if not placed in the 2nd bedroom-a tight fit), a raised King Koil inflatable bed. While this is not a bedroom, it can be used as one. -Dining room and Deck (Sunny, Large dining room table overlooking large professionally landscaped yard. Both bedroom 1 and 2 are guest rooms, not owner occupied. Double shade blocking. TV with cable and premium channels (Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video.) -Bathroom (Heated travertine floors, claw foot tub, shower by Vintage Tubs. “Endless” hot water system. -Deck-Outdoor smart lighting systems, 5person high end hot tub, new deck is much larger with privacy fencing and gorgeous Zuni deck. Yard- Landscaped with trees, flowers, shrubs and a groomed lawn. In June a gardener may be sometimes be present to mow and attend garden. Notice will be provided. -Bedroom 1- Double bed. Both bedrooms are quiet. Neither bedroom has any occupancy above or below and is kept empty for you. Bedroom 2- SINGLE bed, cable 55” TV, 2 windows with layered light block window treatments, Sole recliner bike, and comfortable recliner chair now has replaced the second twin bed originally in that room. Office- large single, high King Koil air mattress upon request placed there or in twin bedroom . Laundry is not listed as an amenity in case the basement studio is rented. If not, there is a new Sanyo washer and dryer.

Linda's home is in an excellent location, and hanging out in the yard and hot tub were the highlights. When we arrived, Linda had left us a bottle of wine which was thoughtful. The exterior door has a code so it was easy to get in. The interior door to Lindas unit does not lock, but Linda offered to come by and put a lock on it. The tenants upstairs are very quiet. We loved the neighborhood! The location made it easy to walk to town, campus, and the stadium. This is her home, and although she makes an effort to clear out, it does feel like you are staying in someones home.
My wife and I stayed at this lovely house with a lovely yard in an incredible neighborhood. The host is incredibly responsive and friendly. The host generously left us a bottle of wine to welcome us! The only slightly negative aspects of the property (but not deal breakers) are that the unit is listed as a whole house, but the home has two other apartments in it, one upstairs and one in the basement. it's an old charming home, so you can definitely hear the footsteps above and voices from both. not a huge deal in general, but we were in Ann Arbor for a work trip, so it was a little inconvenient while trying to get work done. The front door is shared with the upstairs apartment, and this led to the front door often being unlocked when we returned home after teaching. The unit is a lived-in home, and that's no big deal, but while the unit was definitely a clean home, there were a handful of dirty things, like silverware with dried food on them. It's an incredible location, though!!
Linda is a thoughtful and responsive host. We were in town for graduation weekend, and appreciated the walkable proximity to the stadium, campus and Main Street restaurants. Warm, comfortable home with well equipped kitchen, well appointed rooms and wonderful outdoor space - with hot tub! We were surprised to learn the 2nd floor is occupied by family members, as we had expected "entire home" (as listed) and didn't want to hear footsteps overhead. Linda was gracious and apologetic, and is updating listing to clarify this for future guests.
Linda is a responsive, warm and generous host. When she learned that we were coming to meet a new grandchild living in her neighborhood, she offered us the use of several helpful baby items. We needed a place that would accommodate daily visits from our family and their new baby, and she readily agreed to have them visit daily. Since we stayed for a week in March that featured cold wind and over 6 inches of snow, we didn't take advantage of the lovely deck and back yard, but the house was warm, comfortable, and inviting, with a well-equipped kitchen fit for a skilled chef. The house is within easy walking distance of the center of town, and was just what we needed to be able to spend quality time with our new grandchild and her parents. The house is in the authentic Old Westside neighborhood, which in part, means that all construction or changes must be approved by the OWS. This has resulted in the preservation of a unique residential architectural area with historic 100 year old homes and buildings set along tree lined sidewalks. Some great walks are just out your door and away from student areas yet only a 10 minute walk to downtown restaurants or 12 minutes to central campus. EXCELLENT LOCATION. Walk to restaurants, the Law Quad, Ross Business School, Michigan Union 15 minute walk or in the other direction to the STADIUM .6 Mi/17 minute fun walk.
Just minutes to Jefferson Market, Argos Farm Market, Bills Beer Garden .4 miles/10 minute walk, Washtenaw Dairy 3 minute walk, coffee shops .2 mile/5 minutes, nightspots, etc. New Ann Arbor Y and remodeled recreation building nearby. Running routes, bike trails. Great Walk Score.
City bus stop -4 minutes, campus bus stop if you are headed to North Campus or Hospital 5 minutes. Bikes may be available, depending on number and sizes.
WALKSCORE.com Is over 80 for walking and over 60 for transit. Bus stop nearby, but we are an easy walk almost anywhere. There is also a campus bus that I don't think Walk took into account.

We are in active retired couple (psychologist and lawyer)who like to ski, cook, swim, watch soccer, bike, read, garden and hike. We hosted since 2013 when 1 son worked at Airbnb and suggested we host. Our house is on the Old Westside Homes Tour. Over 500 people bought tickets for a guided tour. Rolf was in the Peace Corps and speaks Spanish. He also volunteered for a year on the Wounded Knee Defense Team.
