Very convenient location in the heart of downtown Kirkcudbright. Plenty of room in a nicely appointed apartment.

We mark this place down because of bedroom 3, and the dampness found in the basement which gives the place a pervading smell of damp. Bedroom 3 : - Live white mould on ceiling. - Next to noisy boiler, had to be disengaged at night to allow normally heavy- sleeping friend to sleep. - No hanging space & bed too close to chest-o- drawers to allow them to open. - Unsafe plug socket coming off wall. Ivan came round, agreed with our summation, provided guest bed for use in livingroom (which we did) but now still refuses to give us all of our 1/3rd back. This is not the most important thing tho', that is that bookers are aware of the downfalls.

This 3 bedroom apartment was perfect for us as a family of 5 coming up from Berkshire to Kircudbright for 2 nights for a wedding. It was spacious and had a lovely feel about it, the bed linen was very good quality and the kitchen was a good size. If we had been staying longer it would have been a great base for exploring the area. and relaxing between times. We could easily walk to the shops and yet it was lovely and quiet with plenty of parking directly outside the front door. The shower was good (although I personally do like a bath) and with 5 of us a second loo would have been nice. The top floor was hot when we arrived so my husband and I decamped downstairs and gave our daughters the master bedroom. The price was very fair for the size of the place although the cleaning fee of £111 felt like a lot when we were there for less than 48 hours and were out for the vast majority of that that time. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for accommodation in this area.
