Situated a five minute walk from the centre of beautiful Corfe Castle, the Mousehole is a newly converted and fitted out annexe to our home. It is light and bright, yet peaceful. Completely self contained and surrounded by glorious countryside, you can explore from the doorstep. We have four pubs and great eateries within a short walk, and a fabulous village shop / Post Office. Beaches are within a short drive or bus ride and the Swanage Railway steam trains stop in the village. Entry to The Mousehole is through a gate on our private driveway, where you are welcome to park your car. The front door takes you into the fully fitted and equipped kitchen / dining space, with dishwasher, fridge with ice box, combi microwave oven and induction hob. Stairs lead to the mezzanine level bedroom with supremely comfortable superking (can be 2 singles, just let us know) bed and ensuite shower room with WC and handbasin. Freeview TV and wifi. There is an outside seating area with chairs and a table which is perfect to catch the evening sun, there are herbs growing which you are welcome to pick and use in cooking or for a mint tea, and I am growing some little tomatoes which will be there when they are ready for you.

Lizzie and Rupert were friendly and helpful hosts. Everything we needed in the ideally located Mousehole. Super clean accommodation and well located. We visited RSPB Arne, Brownsea Island, and saw the red squirrels there, Athelhampton House and Kingston Lacy and a fabulous day out on the Swanage railway. Many thanks for the cider and goodies .
The Mousehole really does make good use of a small space with everything you need for a short stay. We were particularly impressed with the large and very comfortable bed - perfect after a long day walking. Liz and her husband were very helpful and friendly and we had everything we needed for our walking break. The Mousehole is VERY well located for walkers with the coast path and other routes nearby. The lack of an area to relax (apart from the bedroom) could be problematic for some. However, it was perfect for us as we were out all day and ate out in the evening. We would certainly return if we visit the area for walking again. Thank you both for making us feel so welcome!
We were made very welcome. The accommodation was lovely- cosy and snug with everything we needed. Lovely to be in walking distance to attractions and pubs. Lots of beautiful places a reasonable drive away. Ideal for a getaway. We recommend the Mouse hole very highly indeed.
Very friendly hosts, both knew about the best places to eat out in the local area and in Swanage. The place was very clean, the kitchen equipment all looked new. Good location with car parking and only a small walk to the town square where there are 4pubs, a bakers and a village shop that seemed to sell everything! Would like to stay again if we were in the area.
Our first visit to Dorset.. lovely place to stay with very helpful hosts. Many places to visit and we loved the heritage line at Corfe with a ride on a steam train to swanage.. The weather wasnt the best but still plenty to do and enjoy ànd surprisingly museums etc that were free to visit. Loved it and will likely return.

Set back from the road, easy level walking to bus stops and to the village.
We have parking on our private drive. There are bus stops throughout the village and the Swanage Heritage Railway station is a short walk away.
