First time guest at this house. Because of that, there was a little trepidation staying at a place I've never been to before. But it met or exceeded all of my expectations. Folks, you can believe the pictures. It was made even more beautiful by the autumn colors of late October. Because it was the off season, the lake was quiet and the surrounding area was peaceful. My three brothers and I only stayed for two weekend nights, but it was perfect for what we were looking for. We took a hike at the nearby Timm Preserve and drove around just taking in the rural beauty of the area. The Lake House had everything we needed, had a well stocked kitchen and plenty of extra pillows, linens and towels. The best part of the experience was the treatment we recieved from our hosts, Jennifer and Stephen. They were prompt and helpful in replying to my questions. They were friendly and inviting and were always making sure that all of our needs were being met. I would highly recommend them as hosts.

Great peaceful place however the bunk beds do need new mattresses. they are really rough the one has a hole in the middle you roll in an cant get out of. other than that Prefect.

Beautiful cabin steps from the lake. With tons of outdoor amenities. The cabin lacked nothing!! Great kitchen with everything we needed to prepare meals. We enjoyed our stay, even though we had our fair share of rain. We fished, had s’mores at the fire pit, went to a farmers market for donuts, hot cider and pumpkins to bring home. The Dollar General 2 blocks away served us with all of our grocery and incidental needs which was so convenient. Great stay, highly recommend!

Jennifer's place was great. Had all the things we needed. We loved using the kayaks and the row boats. The other guests were very friendly. The house was cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

The view of the lake is awesome - and even on a holiday weekend it was relatively peaceful. We spent much of our time on the deck and using the fire pits, kayaks, SUPs, and rafts. The inside of the cottage is cute and functional - it was set up great for our four adults, one teen, and two dogs. We cooked/grilled all of our meals on-site. With guests staying in other units on the property it remained clean, quiet, and family-friendly. The gas station/shop just down the road is walkable and very well stocked - it has incredible ice cream. The host was friendly, accommodating, and responsive. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back!
