Cottonwood Shores is a highland lakes community within the hill country located between Horseshoe Bay and Marble Falls. Two boat ramps are within the community with access to Lake Marble Falls and Lake LBJ with parks along the lakes and a nature preserve. Local Tex-Mex, Thai, seafood restaurant, grocery store, gas stations and coffee shop within 5-10 min drive. See my Guidebook for local recommendations.

Boat ramp for Lake Marble Falls is in Cottonwood Shores, about 1 or 2 min drive from this home or about a 20 min walk. Parking is still free and is my choice for paddling, fishing and boating. Lake LBJ Marina is a 5 min drive away and has paid parking, a restaurant, boat slips and watercraft rentals.
Cottonwood Shores currently has some nearby restaurants within just a few min drive or walking distance featuring seafood, outdoor seating with beautiful views, Tex-Mex and Thai cuisine, a local coffee shop, takeout available. Bayside Market, in Horseshoe Bay, just 5 min drive down the road - has a great grocery store with an excellent beer and wine selection, eatery, bakery and deli, with delicious daily specials, highly recommend.
Things to do nearby: Marble Falls, Kingsland, Horseshoe Bay, Spicewood, Burnet - plenty to offer for local cuisine, art, music, shopping, wineries, cheese tasting, distillery, breweries, an Exotic Zoo with jeep tours and petting zoo, hiking trails at local state parks and nature preserves, farmers/market days, Enchanted Rock, Pumpkin and Strawberry farm with a corn maze, swimming at natural springs or the surrounding lakes, dog parks, frisbee/disc golf, hill country and lake views everywhere - varies from a 5-50 min drive from here.
