We can not say enough good things about Ingrid and Donovan and their home. We arrived late due to the ferry, customs, and our lack of knowledge. Ingrid offered to leave us food even late at night. Donovan met us outside and couldn't have been nicer. This is the first location on our trip where I did not hesitate to go barefoot. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely clean, as was the whole house. Theirs is more of an experience than a stay, with their kindnesses, home cooked breakfast, tours of the woods and lands adjacent to the river. The chicken and pea fowl were our favorite. Our only disappointment was that I didn't book more nights so that we could swim in the river and kayak as well. We left with homemade jam and zucchini bread, as well as fond memories and new friends.

The kayaking above the falls is beautiful. Donovan brought the history and nature of the area to life on a guided and spirited sunset tour. The water is warm and wonderful for swimming, and an early morning paddle through the water lilies followed by a hearty breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. I found the screened in front porch the perfect spot for drinking coffee and taking calls during my workday. Highly recommended for both work and play.
