Mullimbimby, known as “The Biggest Little Town in Australia” hosts an amazing selection of spa’s, yoga centres, alternative health practitioners and is home to the Mullum Music Festival. It is within minutes of the BluesFest, Splendour in Grass, The Byron Writers Festival, The Falls Arts & Music Festival and the Byron Bay International Film Festival. In conjunction with these major events there is a vibrant, ongoing arts, design and creative scene. Number 43 is central to the thriving local market culture.

The beaches, river, parklands and extensive dining experiences of Brunswick Heads are a delightful 7-minute drive through a lush rural landscape. The unspoilt Brunswick River is ideal for swimming and other water sports and is suitable for all ages. A charming 1950’s picture house has been recently restored and now hosts films, performances and comedy nights. It’s a timeless Australian summer dream.
15 minutes East is the international renowned holiday destination of Byron Bay, Australia's most eastern point. Always buzzing with activity and energy this busy village has beautiful beaches and people galore. It’s the ultimate destination for dining and night life in the region. It is also a contrasting alternative community with amazing spa and holistic health services.
Yoga, health retreats, fantastic hikes, water sports - sea kayaking, diving and surf lessons, a Palace cinema are just some of the activities.
Bangalow is a town set in the ranges above Byron Bay. The drive from the coast road has some of the most beautiful views looking back onto Australia's most easterly point and out to the infinite horizon of the Pacific Ocean. The high street has all the charm of an early 20th century Australian town. The local towns people have made a conscious effort to preserve the original architectural detail and have managed to give it a contemporary spin with great boutiques, vintage stores and cafes. Our favourite's are the lifestyle store Bisque, Island life for cool resort fashion and the Woods cafe.
An easy 25-minute drive South brings you to Lennox Head, a quaint beach enclave nestled on the southern headland of Seven Mile Beach, as the name suggests 7 miles of perfect white sand and crystal clear water. Not only are the beaches incredible, the village vibe is chilled and cool. The dining is elegant and relaxed. Check out the Seven Mile Cafe and Opes for a great dining experience or try one of the little cafes on Pacific Parade. Definitely watch the sunset from the Lennox headland and then wander into town for a beverage or two on the balcony of The Lennox Hotel. You will be in complete holiday mode after this.
Don't miss a swim at Lake Ainsworth. This freshwater Tea tree lake at the northern end of Pacific Parade is a treat.
Moving away from the coast and into the Hinterland you have some amazing villages that have their own personalities and things of interest happening. Newrybar has a good handicraft and local art seen as well as the renowned Harvest Restaurant and Bakery. Nimbin is a town caught in a time warp of 60's alternative ideologies, fantastic people watching and interesting conversations to be had with the locals.
The hinterland of Northern NSW is incredible; Lamington National Park has some beautiful rainforest and invigorating hiking. The climb to Mt Warning, a volcano core, is a fantastic 2-hour ascent to a summit with 360 degree views of the whole region.
The Pacific Highway 1 is a lovely drive through the lush hinterland. You also have the option of a more leisurely drive along the coastal roads, one of the most beautiful drives on the east coast of Australia. Check out the beach towns of Cabarita, Hastings Point and Pottsville all with amazing beaches, chic little cafes and classic Australian pubs.
The Gold Coast is the main service hub of the area. It also one of the biggest tourist destinations in the southern hemisphere. Entertainment is the focus with theme parks that cater for the young, the old and everyone in between. Seaworld, Dreamworld, Warner Bros Movie World, Wet and Wild, Australian Outback Spectacular and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary are some of the highlights.

Gold Coast International Airport is a 45-minute drive from Mullumbimby. There are direct flights from most Australian cities and some international destinations.
Brisbane International Airport is 155km, approximately a 2hr drive, north. Daily domestic and international flights service the airport.
