What a beautiful cottage and part of the world to visit. Cannot recommend carpenters cottage enough if you're. looking for a peaceful, cozy place to visit in the Peak District. The cottage is better than the photos, the views outstanding and the bath to relax in after long days hiking is just wonderful. the cottage has everything we needed and more. responsive host. 5*

Carpenters Cottage is very nicely appointed and has everything you might need. Plenty of local walks, good shop in next village.

Our first visit to the peaks and this will not be the last. We had a really good time. The cottage is cosy and clean, and perfect to go for long walks in stunning countryside.

Carpenters Cottage was very clean with a modern kitchen and bathroom updated to a high specification. Broadband was good. Mike left us a very useful starter pack of essential consumables which was particularly appreciated as there is no shop in Elton. The village has some lovely local walks and Mike had included a detailed map of the local area. Parking very close to the cottage proved to be no problem during our stay. We found Elton to be a good location for exploring the White Peak area. We had a great stay and thoroughly recommend Carpenters Cottage.

Lovely cottage in spectacular surroundings! The view from the bathroom is stunning and the walks were abundant! We would certainly not hesitate to recommend this cottage as everything you could possibly need is provided! Learnt to play dominoes in The Duke Of York which we frequented every night and can honestly say that all the villagers in Elton were so friendly! We will be back…..after my legs have stopped aching from the miles of hiking! Jan & Andy, Suffolk.
