The cottage has been a well-positioned base to explore this picturesque area. This cottage is idyllic overlooking the fields and has been the perfect getaway for us. Huge thank you for the home made brownies and all the helpful information. Meeting Jeffrey and Charlie was the icing on the cake! The breakfast package is a must have, especially as it lasted all 3 mornings we spent there. During our stay we walked along the Monsal Trail (and stopped off at Hassop Station Cafe and Monsal Trail Cycle Hire for tea and cake; then had lunch at Hobb's Cafe and Monsal's Enchanted Emporium with a stunning view at monsal head; then went into Great Longstone for a pint in the Crispin inn). We ended up getting the 173 bus back to Bakewell from the village green. We had dinner at the druids inn, which was a welcoming place with hearty food. We visited Chatsworth house and dined at the Ashford Arms (Ashford in the water). Fantastic holiday. Recommend both the Air BnB and Peak District in general.

To say The stables at Rocking stone farm is a fabulous location would be an under statement. Gorgeous location, beautiful accommodation and even nicer hosts. Nothing was too much trouble we enjoyed our stay immensely and the friendliest doggy welcomes from Charlie and Jeffrey was so nice. Plus we got some of the most amazing tasting homemade brownies from Racheal and a walking tour of their stunning grounds by Gerry. The cabin in the woods (not scary like the movie!) is worth seeing and we felt very privileged to see the rocking stone. We will most definitely be returning in the near future. Our first time visiting the Peak District and it won’t be our last.

Rachael and Gerry were very welcoming, giving lots of tips on what to do in the area. The cottage was idyllic, very cosy and clean, making our stay here magical. The kitchen is well equipped. Thank you for such a warm welcome and for making us feel at home, from the moment we walked in.

Came here as a couple for our anniversary in April and was looking for an active but also relaxing stay and that’s exactly what we got! Rachael and Gerard were fantastic and were so responsive. The homemade brownies on arrival was a lovely touch and also the locally sourced breakfast package which we paid a little bit extra for but was so worth it! We had dinner and multiple drinks after walks at The Druid Inn which was only a short walk from the stables and the staff there were so lovely and food and drink was amazing. The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been a hot tub but overall we had the best time Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Rocking Stone Cottage. The place was immaculate, cosy and welcoming when we arrived. The scenery was beautiful and we highly recommend.
