It was a beautiful location and the cottage looked exactly as it did in the photos. The accommodation layout was small and neat, but well organised with plenty of kitchen equipment, dvds, walking info and a couple of board games for rainy moments. Overall the cottage was clean but could do with a bit of a deeper clean here and there; some dust/hair in corners and under the beds, the tile grout in the bathroom is in need of a slight de-mould etc.. If the bed linen was ironed and crisp then it would look/feel really smart! It is a dog friendly cottage, but we didn't specifically need this, and so were surprised by the doggy smell on entering the lobby - maybe if the dog treats are kept in an airtight tin this would help here? Towels weren't listed as provided - so we unnecessarily took our own, and there was a Nespresso coffee machine also not listed - so we didn't take any pods with us; better communication on this front would be good :) But - we had a lovely time, thank you!

Pleasant enough but needs some attention. A bit tired and felt a bit grubby. Heating didn’t ever work and outdoor spaces needed a good tidy up. But great location and beautiful views of the pikes from the garden. As it is, overpriced for quality of property (stayed in area a lot and know it’s pricey but also know what that cost usually gets you).

Lovely cottage in a great location. Smooth check in but out felt much earlier than standard at 9am. Lots of plates and cups available which was great but kitchen was missing some standard items that we expected such as tea bags. There was a useful guide however this was in a drawer so we didn’t find this until leaving, which meant we didn’t know that the hot water could be turned back on after it went off while showering. Views from the cottage were beautiful and the location is very peaceful. The second bedroom is also on a mezzanine rather than a separate room so doesn’t have a door.

It’s a lovely place with beautiful views but I would recommend reaching out in advance because it was difficult to find the right place to park, particularly arriving in the dark and there isn’t much proactive communication from Original Cottages other than the key code. We didn’t find it particularly clean either (certain items in the kitchen just hadn’t been washed like the cheese grater and glasses) and there are definitely some maintenance issues that need addressing. Overall I don’t think this is good value for money and paying extra for the dog when the cleaning isn’t on point seems particularly cheeky.
