This home is a wonderful retreat, and Malia is a magnificent host! She is so kind, thoughtful and accommodating, and the home itself is set up with everything you could need for a great stay. It’s an especially great space for traveling with kids — there are toys galore and a wonderful backyard for play. Hawaii Kai is a great escape from the bustle and density of Waikiki, and the east side of the island is packed full of the most beautiful beaches and hikes on Oahu. We stayed for six weeks and it still wasn’t long enough to enjoy this fantastic area. Can’t wait to return!

Thank you Malia for checking in on us and making sure my family and I were comfortable. The location was perfect because it was in a quiet neighborhood. Walked almost every day and the whole neighborhood was friendly. It was close to all the places we wanted to go. We love and miss it already!!!

If you’re looking for a home away from home, Malia’s place is it. My family of 5 stayed here for 4 months during our transitional move to the island. She supplies everything you need from toiletries and cook wear to toys and books for the kids. Her home is away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki in a quiet family friendly neighborhood with a park and beaches close by. As a host, Malia was always quick to respond and beyond helpful with anything we may have needed. Her parents who live below but travel often were the kindest people we’ve ever met. They brought us homemade meals, gave us some great local advice and even sent us away with a baby papaya tree to plant at our new house! I can’t say enough good things. We felt very comfortable here and I would recommend her home to anyone for an extended stay, especially families with kids.

I don't know where to begin. We really felt at home. Malia's response time was immediate for everything - and this time we needed assistance when my daughter needed to go to a hospital ASAP. Malia not only recommended which hospital to go to, but also made sure that we had our neighbors (her parents) phone in case we needed help again and she was not available. We also enjoyed having such good neighbors throughout our visit. There was a full kitchen plus some food items waiting for us with a note that it was for us to help us get settled in. Everything else was just 5 stars all the way!
