Kim's house was cleaner and more comfortable than what we saw in the picture. And the terrace with a nice view felt healing. The bed felt clean like a luxury hotel. Especially at home, there was a free golf cart, which was great to look around the island. And it was a great location to go to a nearby store. Unfortunately, we had to cancel one night because of the typhoon, but he canceled it comfortably and quickly. I really want to choose Kim's house again when I visit Catalina Island next time. Thank you.

We booked two units for a Girls weekend. Communication with Kim was lacking, with only 2 out of 7 messages receiving a response. Kim's profile claimed a "one-hour" response time, but this was not the case. The highlight was the two golf carts, making island exploration easier. However, they were not new, and the dirty windshields made navigation difficult. They're located three blocks away and must be returned each night, so plan for a 12-minute walk in the morning and a 5-minute drive back at night. Both units offered great views, but they were old with dirty carpets and maintenance issues. The pool/hot tub were under construction, creating excessive dust and noise. Expect a lot of stairs, including navigating flights to reach the elevator. Checkout involves navigating stairs to dispose of trash, slow elevator, and housekeeping tasks not disclosed before booking. Despite the challenges, we loved Catalina, a more accurate listing would have managed our expectations better.

Kim's place was beautiful and super spacious. It's homey and accommodated our family perfectly. We stayed in both units which were on separate floors. You get a great view of Avalon from both units. The golf carts are great and super convenient. We loved exploring the island with them. The units are walking distance from everywhere in Avalon including the beach, supermarket and the shopping strip. Things to note, the pool is permanently closed and due to construction the elevator only works between the 2nd and 3rd floors. You will be walking up 3-4 flights of stairs (no big deal if you're packing light).

We were in catalina for a wedding so the 2 apartments on top of each other were perfect for our group. Beautiful view of Avalon and still close to the boardwalk. The golf carts were a great addition to get around the island and really explore. Would definitely recommend Kims place!!
