We had a great time, Jacquie and Dave are very welcoming but at the same time they let you have your privacy. Our space was cozy, comfy and spotless. Cous cous the goose was hilariously intimidating and absolutely harmless 😂 Beautiful view from the hot tub, perfect spot for a relaxing holiday.

What a beautiful place to spend and relax in this home away from home. We really enjoyed the whole experience starting from booking to the goodbyes and everything in between. Jacquie and Dave were outstanding hosts and their warmth was reflected in every little touches be it sharing tips for visits, to the wonderful breakfasts, to the cleanliness and decor of the rooms, to the readiness to help out (little details like information about tide times, local books and maps) and we felt really well pampered. The highlight of the house was the far reaching views from the sitting area and one can see the weather changing just sitting in the area sipping a cup of tea. The peace and tranquility of the area immediately takes your mind away from the hustle and bustle of life. Their dog Dougle is adorable, so is the goose cous cous, and the hens. The bedroom is tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is big and well equipped, and the sitting area was our particular favourite fully equipped with a television ( which we did not use... such was the view), a mini fridge, kettle and tea and biscuits! We explored the area, hiked the coastal route which was an amazing experience in itself, drove along the coastline upto Mull of Galloway, and enjoyed the outstanding scenic beauty of the area. I will recommend this place and this experience whoheartedly and can't wait to return!

Simply Superb. If you are looking to get away from it all, need a place to call basecamp while exploring Scotland or explore the surrounding area then this is the place for you. Total peace & quiet. Amazing views from their sun room or outside at the picnic table and garden lounge. We went on a unspoiled hike from the house to the top and back was around 3 hours, but you could do more or less in the area, despite it being a little shower'y we could not have been happier while out exploring, seeing lots o wildlife during our stay, highlights where the birds of prey, we think some kind of hawk, cranes, pretty little birds, tiny bats and lots more, oh and the Goose and chickens that live with the hosts, totally amazing! Speaking of Jackie and Dave, just wow, they did everything to make sure our stay was perfect for us, providing tips, making us breakfast and the even the odd cup of tea or 2! We could not have enjoyed our stay more and can only complain that we had to leave! We will be back, thank you so much Jackie and Dave, hugs all round.
