John’s place is outstandingly clean and we have enjoyed our 3-day stay. John sent us welcoming messages before we arrived and was really quick in relying any questions we had. We got everything we need in the house and found the guide book useful for the Charleston first time visitors like us. The last not but not least, the backyard’s marsh front surroundings made us observed lots of birds so closely. That’s really a unique experience for us! Highly recommend John’s place! We had a wonderful stay at John’s place. It was truly enchanting! It was so close to downtown Charleston and Folly Beach!! We highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Charleston!

Like all the rest of the reviews, this was a perfect spot. Beautiful backyard that looked out over a small creek area, peaceful and quiet neighborhood, and very clean interior home. I would come back regularly if I could!

John’s home among the oaks is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day exploring Charleston! John was lovely to communicate with, and we took (and loved) one of his local restaurant recommendations, Sorghum & Salt. It’s located a short drive from downtown Charleston and is very easy to get to. The interior was spotless, and we greatly appreciated the washer and dryer for laundry on our extended vacation. I wholeheartedly recommend John’s place to anyone visiting the Charleston area, and were absolutely going to book it again the next time we return!

I had the absolute best very first Airbnb experience. John was an amazing host with a pristine property inside & out. This is a great location close by to everything in Charleston while also providing a private peaceful surrounding to relax and unwind after a day full of adventuring in the city. I would highly recommend taking time to soak up the beautiful view from the backyard, it is even more impressive in person !
