We had a great time at Lower Merripit. Cosy cottage with lots of character. Lots of nice walks nearby. Friendly and helpful hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Merripit cottage with our small group of half a dozen women, and arrived on the evening of March the 1st just as it started to snow. At dawn the next morning we were blessed to witness a group of deer from the bedroom window out grazing the meadow beneath a scattering of snow. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and so were their stunning and playful dogs. The cottage was immaculate and met all of our needs, with a well stocked kitchen and warm rooms with so much space, it’s like being in two separate houses with the kitchen at the centre. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful location with easy walking access to the moors. With such clear waters running across the land, and beautiful ponies outside. We really enjoyed our stay in this inspiring ancient dwelling, with playful pixie energies lurking around every corner of this magical labyrinth of a house…

I can't tell you how awesome this space is. It has the most amazing energy, and I feel so held in the space. Everything you need is right there and I for one will be booking again. Many thanks for such a beautiful space.

The location is fantastic, in the heart of Dartmoor. We picked it knowing it was remote. Gardens and land around is beautiful, especially with the ponies just off the garden. House was big enough for all of us, and the house was well equipped. Anything that we had forgotten a quick message and the hosts brought it over for us! I can imagine how lovely the house would be in the summer, but even though the weather was not kind to us, we managed plenty of wet walks, cream teas and the stars at night were fantastic. Children loved the farm dogs and was one of the highlights. They said Skye looked just like Bluey with his amazing ears! Would recommend and we would stay again! :)
