C'est une expérience à vivre, ça ramène à l'essentiel, au partage, à la nature, à la simplicité. Les commodités sanitaires sont très rudimentaires. La douche se fait à la bassine avec de l'eau de pluie. Les toilettes sont une cabane dans la forêt sans eau. Iawilum est accueillante et d'une grande gentillesse. Vous participerez à la préparation des repas, vous découvrirez des plantes et fruits dont vous ignoriez sans doute qu'ils étaient comestibles... Le village est éloigné de "la ville", prévoyez ce dont vous avez besoin, notamment l'eau. Il faut se rendre au village de Iawilum si vous êtes prêts à vivre dans la plus grande simplicité à tous points de vue. Iawilum peut organiser les différentes activités que propose l'île. Gardez à l'esprit que c'est éloigné de tout et que vous aurez un temps de trajet conséquent et le budget qui va avec.

Veritable experience locale! J’ai adoré!!! Si vous recherchez l’électricité et l’eau courante ce n’est pas pour vous mais si vous souhaitez une immersion en village locale c’est ce qu’il vous faut. Iawilem et sa famille vous accueillent à merveille et vous feront decouvrir les meurs et coutumes typiques, et sauront vous accompagner et vous expliquer chacune des activités que ferez (que ce soit visites, ou participation a la vie journalière du village). J’ai passé 2 nuits, c’etait quand meme court, je devrais revenir!!!

A truly magnificent place, surrounded by fruit trees and gardens and close to the bush of Tanna everyone, lawilums family, the village and surrounding villages welcome you with open arms and hearts and always go an extra mile to make you feel home. You can have your space and privacy if you choose or dive deep into the true Tanna culture, drink kava wit the man and explorer. Food is traditional,simple and good. Only one note for our adventurous travellers: the family wants you to be safe and sound and so being out at night time sometimes wasn't as easy and free as I like. Would always come back

my words cannot describe enough how grateful and happy i am to have chosen to stay at Lowiasia village, a village far away from the main road or the sea which doesn't even appear on Maps (only private transfers can take you there), but that can definitely show the most Tanna local experience someone could ever ask for. Iawilum family welcomed and treated us as part of the village, took care of us and kindly cooked the best local meals I have had in Vanuatu. She also took us to the Blue Cave and brought us lunch. We learned about local vegetables in their garden, picked taro and leaves for dinner, helped them cook, joined the kava ritual (traditionally only men allowed) and assisted traditional dances. We stayed in two traditional huts which, despite being very simple and essential, were very cozy and nice. We stayed in Lowiasia village for just two nights, but this short time was memorable enough for me to leave a piece of my heart there. I really can't thank enough everyone in Lowiasia village for welcoming us, I wish them all the best and hope to meet them again soon.

It's hard to reply the questions from Airbnb because Lowiasa Village an extraordinary experience. I didn't expect this. It took me out of all my comforts as a European woman. If I can give some advice: take a lot of water with you and some food, so you don't get sick. And then take with you only things that you want to leave afterwards. Because this family has few things, very few things but a huge heart !! Thank you Family!!
