Clew Bay House (6 guests) and Clew Bay Annex (3 guests) are TWO newly renovated and architect designed spaces in the same house on spacious grounds. Each have separate entrances and private patios with a shared large driveway and garden. Clew Bay House can be rented separately or together with Clew Bay Annex for larger groups . If both are taken together they can accommodate up to 9 people .*Please note the Annex is not let separately in July and August. Modern holiday home with large front and back gardens. Both are completely separate -with their own entrance and separate and private patios with garden table and chairs. This listing is for CLEW BAY HOUSE The interior is modern , bright and spacious yet very cosy. Open plan living / dining room and kitchen. Second living room with a view of Croagh Patrick. Kitchen with full cooking facilities - hob, oven , microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Designated parking in front of house.

We had a wonderful week at Valerie’s. The house was warm and cosy. A great place to retire to after a day out in the great Irish weather! Close to all amenities in Louisburgh and a good base for exploring the coast. I wish we’d had better weather to make more use of the beautiful garden - maybe next time!
Valerie’s house is spacious and beautiful. It has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The kitchen/living area is so bright and well designed, a joy to relax in after a day exploring all that Mayo has to offer. It’s location is ideal and is within minutes walk to to the nearest shops/cafes and a very short drive to some of the most beautiful beaches in Mayo. Thank you for everything Valerie, we’ll be back.
Beautiful house, very well-equipped, lots of space, lovely garden and perfectly situated to get to the beach and Louisburgh high street quickly for a glass of Guinness. With the annex it was perfect for multiple families. Thank you so much for having us.

Lovely clean and spacious accommodation. We were 5 adults and 2 small children and we never felt overcrowded. We also had two nice sized lawn areas on which we could relax and play. The house was conveniently situated just outside Louisburgh and the little town had a couple of shops and restaurants which were sufficient for our needs. The local beach was also easily reachable (less than 5 minutes by car, and about 10-15 minutes on foot) and very pleasant. The whole area was quiet and well worth the visit. Some spectacular views nearby and also through the pass to Leananne Hope to visit again soon

Clew Bay House and Clew Bay Annex are a home away from home rather than a holiday home. There is something for everybody to do in Louisburgh. While Mum has gone fishing , Dad can collect mussels at Killary Harbour and the kids can do some other type of 'surfing' , not on the net but on Carramore beach with its white sand and turquoise blue water.
Carramore Beach(15 minutes walk or 3 min drive) is just outside Louisburgh on the Wild Atlantic Way. Silver Strand, Carrowniskey ( great for surfing) Old Head Beach are other blue flag beaches close by. Swimming, surfing, hill walking, mountain climbing, fishing, biking, kayaking, horse riding - all nearby. Leenane, Killary Harbour, just half an hour away. Westport 20 minutes. Connemara with its beautiful scenic drive/ cycle or take the ferry from Roonagh Point to Clare Island or Innisturk- all on your doorstep. Louisburgh is truly a hidden gem .
Though you probably will arrive by car, Louisburgh is easily reachable by bus or even by bike. There is a direct train line running from Dublin to Westport, bringing you straight through the middle of Ireland from one coast to the other. In Westport, there is a daily bus service from Bus Eireann to Louisburgh. Bikes can easily be rented both in Westport and in Louisburgh, and cycling has become quite a fashion, since we are on the Wild Atlantic Way.
