Gillian is a brilliant host who knows the about the finer things in life and how to present them. Help yourself to breakfast was set out professionally and went above and beyond with homemade preserves. Made welcome to use modern kitchen facilities and a living room for guests own use. Parking facilities available in a tucked away area of Gosforth. Close to local shops and an M&S Foodhall, a major supermarket, the Metro and buses. Annex room has it’s own shower room. Very comfortable bed, nice touches and room facilities including a small fridge. The stairs could be a slight issue for some but I believe an alternative room is available. Beautiful garden. Gillian is highly educated, has widely travelled and offers a wealth of information about the local area. Gillian gave me brilliant directions, but not having a Satnav I had to do a short lap of the Great North Road to get to the narrow lane leading to this lovely property. Highly recommended and definitely excellent value for money.

100% recommend this stay. Gillian was extremely helpful, responsive and kind. She welcomed me to my room upon arrival and made me feel right at home. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is a beautiful three story home with a huge garden, it’s close to the high street with restaurants, shops and transport links to get around Newcastle. I was quite embarrassed on the last day as I had a nose bleed in the night and got blood on Gillian’s towel, when asking to reimburse her for a new one she only reassured me that it was okay and would come out in the wash. She even showed me the products she uses, and where to get them from to help me incase this happened at home. Gillian was a wonderful, warm and welcoming host, my only advice for you is to book! Thanks so much Gillian and see you next time! 😊

I booked Gillian's place for my daughter's school placement for her post graduate study. We are grateful for Gillian's patience & kind understanding with our many query.
