This was our first time to Hawaii so we had no idea what to expect. The location of Terry and Hal’s place was perfect. It is away from the city and traffic, the area is super quiet and safe, and there’s a beautiful beach within walking distance. They provided umbrella, chairs, toys, towels, and even a wagon. The backyard was fenced in and a great place for our kids to play. The cottage itself is way bigger than it shows in pictures. Our family of 4 fit nicely and Terry and Hal even offered a little twin foldable futon for our 5 year old. We spent many days of our month stay exploring the island and the cottage was a great home base. Mahalo Terry and Hal!

We spent at Terry & Hal’s place a really lovely month. I’d say probably it was as good as it gets: next to the beautiful beach we like so much, comfortable cottage with everything necessary, great hosts, tranquil atmosphere. For sure will repeat if such an opportunity comes up again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Terri & Hal and their hospitality was a cut above. Any question we had was immediately answered. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped with plenty of equipment to prepare almost any meal. Waimanalo Beach is beautiful.

We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely come back. The cottage is only a few minutes away from the most beautiful beach of the island. The neighborhood is quiet. The cottage has everything you need (only no dishwasher). We loved having lunch and diner outside. The wifi is great for working and video calls. Parking is convenient. There are a few ants, flying bugs and occasional cockroach, which is normal when living in a cottage surrounded by nature. Terri and Hal are also very nice. They noticed we were working all day and gave us a desk chair to be more comfortable. They left us a few snacks when we arrived and the bathroom and kitchen are stocked with essentials like soap or aluminium foil. We highly recommend Terri and Hal’s cottage! Thanks again so much!

Very comfortable place to stay for a month with 2 adults and 2 kids. Way more spacious than it appears in pictures with a great open plan layout and super tall ceilings. We never felt cramped! Lots of little touches of items that help make you feel at home, down to a kitchen scale for cooking and a scale in the bathroom to keep an eye on things after eating all those malasadas and shrimp! All the beach equipment you could need, cozy backyard with fruit trees, and the beach is about 2 blocks away. The beauty of the area is just staggering - the mountains, the beach down the street at any time of day - everything is just jawdropping. If we are ever back in Oahu, we'd stay again!
