I booked my stay at Moshe's at the last minute, and I'm so glad that I did. Moshe very helpful, welcoming and friendly and had wonderful suggestions to help maximize my surfing vacation. Surf House Pavones is a relaxing and comfortable spot right in the middle of the action in Pavones. Though I don't keep vegan, the vegan food they prepared was truly delicious and healthy. The chef, Shanna, was a genius in the kitchen. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a central spot for surfing and general Costa Rican enjoyment.

Many thanks to Mosche and the good soul of the house with super delicious cooking skills. everything was very nice and it feels like home. They was very helpful with everything. And we was so happy to be at an vegan place - this was my highlight as a vegan since years - was this my first experience and I wish for more places like this around the world. Okay, if you came to surf, the location can’t be beat! You can see part of the Pavones break right in front from the communal patio area. I really enjoyed sitting with the owners and their other guests swapping surf and travel stories. Moshe is very hospitable. He and his partner (I don’t know how to spell his name ) had lots of interaction with their guests and it was obvious to me that people liked hanging around with them.There was a lot of local information and tips shared which made it much easier to navigate a new location. Numerous restaurants were a short walk away (like 20 steps away). Don’t miss trying the dinners Moshe offers every night except Saturday.....exceptionally well prepared Vegan food. I especially enjoyed the Vegan hamburger and Falafel. I stayed in one of the private back rooms with AC. Next time, I’ll try and get one of the lower private rooms; each facing the ocean and having their own patios and hammocks. The hostel was always kept clean. The community showers always had good water pressure with cold water only. Believe me, you will not want to have any hot water out here. Security was always adequate. I would definitely stay there again. Go surf!
