Just to be aware of that when you are booking. Crossdrum is located an hour and 15 minutes from Dublin airport in a rural and very scenic part of Co.Meath. Lough Crew megalithic cairns (5000 years old and aligned with the equinox) and the house and gardens with it's adventure centre are 5 minutes away. Lough Sheelin, one of a dozen brown trout lakes remaining in Europe, is 10 minutes. Mullaghameen beech wood is 5 minutes away with it's extensive walking paths. Tullynally Castle and Fore Abbey are nearby. Cycling and lake swimming are also a great way to spend time in this beautiful are. Oldcastle village with grocery stores and a bank/ATM is 5 minutes and you can enjoy a quiet pint in one of the traditional pubs. Crossdrum is a sympathetically renovated 1826 georgian gate lodge. It is quirky and full of character with traditional Irish farmhouse furniture. It is set in rolling farmland, at the end of a quiet lane with a view to the cairns. There are three bedrooms available. (Each room is separately listed) A small double and two singles with a shared bathroom upstairs and a bathroom downstairs for guests sole use.
