Well furnished home in a quiet location and a dog friendly secure garden. Warm, welcoming and relaxing place to stay and explore the local area - plenty of guide books to get a sense of what is around to visit. Fully equipped kitchen, utility room with washing machine (if you are inclined to do some!). The host telephoned on arrival to check all ok and made helpful suggestions where to visit. Interesting decor with artefacts and prints depicting scenes from around the world. We found the bed comfortable with toiletries and towels provided. If you want to explore Durham this place is only a short drive away and worth a stay. It was good the sun came out after months of rain across the UK.

Had a lovely stay at Anthony’s property, well equipped home with everything you need for a relaxing stay with lovely extras of fresh flowers and milk on arrival. Lovely walks nearby. Phone call from Anthony to ensure everything was okay was appreciated.

Anthony is a very attentive host, communicating with us all through the process and giving us a friendly call to see how we had settled in and if we had everything we needed. The house and garden were immediately welcoming, and had lots of considerate little touches. It really was as dog-friendly as advertised, which was one of our priorities when booking. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a comfortable base to explore the area, especially if you have dogs.
