New construction ... American standards. Guanacaste is in the Pacific NW. Our home is at Lake Arenal. The temperature here is more consistent at 80 degrees year round with cool evenings. Between the town of Tilaran and Arenal. It is romantic and the view is absolutely mystical! This is a brand new guest house available February 14, 2017. This is a vacation you will always remember. Whether it is a romantic get away or a family vacation you will be enchanted by the ambiance of this property. 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath with Living Room, Kitchen, Laundry Room and Beautiful Patio with a View of the Lake.

Barbara went above and beyond what I expected as a host based on my Air BnB experiences so far, and her husband Lawrence was amazing as well. They both went above and beyond to assure my stay was comfortable and my first time experience in Costa Rica the best. They were quite helpful in suggesting local things to do and in facilitating my success as a guest. I can't say enough about this experience with them. Their guest house was a perfect accomodation.
The veranda in the afternoon was delightful, with a beautiful breeze, exotic birds and dense lush gardens and foliage. Barbara and Lawrence were welcoming, interesting, helpful and the dogs made for a playful addition!. We felt safe and very much at ease. The casita was clean and comfortable. We’d very much enjoy a return visit!
We spent a beautiful month in the lovely casita. We had everything we needed. The hosts were always available for advice on local restaurants and other tips for the area. WONDERFUL STAY!!!
Barbara's husband, Lawrence, was there to greet us when we arrived, was very friendly, and answered any questions that we had. We were working online, and for the most part the connection was good, with an occassional issue, but Lawrence would reboot and all was good. The owner's home is on the same property, but there is still lot's of privacy, other than a visiit from their three friendly dogs once in awhile. There were some good sodas in the little town of Piedras, a few minute drive away, and it was a nice walk to Cafe and Macademia. A car is definitely recommended when you stay here, though there is a bus at stop at the bottom of the road. Great hot water, bonus to have a washer and dryer, good kitchen ammenities. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Thank you!
Barbara’s home is amazing. Located close to lots of adventures, scenery, animals, and the lake is gorgeous!! Barbara and her family were so welcoming and hospitable. Definitely a first choice stay in CR 😃

This is a nice neighborhood with many ex-patriots on the street from America and Canada.
You will need a car to get from the airport and to go sight seeing. A 4 wheel drive is recommended for sight seeing in Costa Rica. Not needed to get to the house.
