Apple Tree Inn was nice and private. Check in was easy. The stairs were way steep (it's an older place to be expected). Our disappointment was that the Oyster Bar and the restaurant were closed. It was 50 and raining and we wanted to settle into the beautiful Oyster Bar for a drink but closed and closed during the first week of October which is peak foliage week. We had to get in the car for dinner and there isn't a ton in Lenox so that was our only disappointment.

Lovely place, beautiful ground .. too bad we got rain in but the cozy firewall is a plus. Great breakfast setup and plenty of tea/coffee for self-servicing.

Our room for 4 was very expensive, tucked in the attic with very narrow unsafe steps going up the final flight, very low ceiling. For the amount we paid I expected a space where our tall members of the group would not bump into the ceiling and walls or have to bend while using the facilities in the bathroom.

Great stay. Comfortable room, walking distance to Tanglewood, continental breakfast. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for us and our granddaughter. Two bedrooms with room in between with the bathroom. Slanted ceiling is a challenge but can be worked around. Beautifully maintained.
