House is located a little bit up the mountain and has a beautiful view and surroundings. As others mention, the driveway is very steep but would only be a concern if ice is present. Two of the bedrooms are very large and all the living spaces are a great size. There is really no yard but that was not a problem for our dog who loved exploring the terrain. The location is 15 min from grocery store and downtown Franklin. The semi-gated community is very nice and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Joy! We came from South Georgia to see snow and woke up to the prettiest Winter Wonderland! We had plenty of room to get out and play in the snow and the area was secluded. We had everything we needed and were especially thankful for two fireplaces, lots of windows, and salt to help us navigate the snowy driveway and road out. The roads in the area were salted and plowed quickly. The driveway was very steep so I would recommend arriving before dark. Also, we were a little confused about the instructions for entry into the residence because we were given a lockbox code and immediately spotted a lockbox near the garage which would not open but soon discovered that the code was for keyless entry for the door accessed from the carport. We would definitely stay here again!
