Really nice and peaceful. Inside is a little tired but this is fine and felt clean enough. Floors do move a little but don’t cause a problem. We had a fantastic stay and the setting is stunning. The house works for a few young families and there is local walks that are lovely. Our only real gripe was the grass was all very long and difficult for the children to play in and with no climbing frame was very different to the picture, some of the grass being part mowed would have made a significant difference. The above would not put us off booking again and we really enjoyed our stay.

The major positives of this property are it's size and it's price. It was very affordable in comparison to other listings, and we were able to enjoy an extra nights stay as a result. The surrounding area is lovey, and offers a good country walk just by walking out of the back gate. The location is very remote. Whilst this is part of its appeal, the nearest pub is a 40 minute walk down a country road, so something to bear in mind if you didn't want to drive. Unfortunately we we arrived we had to thoroughly clean everything in the kitchen. Every piece of cutlery, crockery, kitchen surfaces and both tables were really dirty and needed a good clean. Not something we wanted to do upon arrival. The property as a whole feels like it needs an update. The layout is very unusual and feels like 3 buildings have been been joined without much thought. The showers are good, but the tired sofas need cleaning, garden needs attention, as do the major pot holes on the approach road.
Nikki, was very helpful in giving instructions and allowed us to arrive early. The property as quirky because it’s an old mill but it’s large, spacious, private and unique. We loved our stay x3 families of 10. The kitchen and living room is open planned and very large with everyone able to sit comfortably. The bedroom are clean and comfortable and the gardens have a natural beauty to them. The hot tub was an added bonus.
