The place is an amazing location for someone to disconnect from everything. The nature surrounding Richard's place is amazing and the ocean sounds were a wonderful backdrop to relax to. The place itself was clean and has a very modern design, no complains at all on that front. The screened-in section provides a wonderful place to relax in the evening and enjoy the sounds of the surf. Absolutely no complaints about Richard as a host. Fair warning though, It is located a fair distance away from everything,with the closest big grocery store being at least 40 minutes out, so be ready for that. Also, the road leading up to the place is almost 10km of unpaved road, which during our visit had an unaccountable number of potholes due to the rain, making the drive very harrowing and slow.

Wir haben ein paar schöne Tage in Richards Haus verbracht. Alles war sehr sauber und die Lage absolut ruhig und wunderschön. Kommen gerne wieder.

Richards place was beautiful and on a lovely area for swimming and beach combing. Snorkling out front you could see lobsters and crabs close to shore. We caught some mackerel from fishing off the beach and some seals popped up to say hello while we were in the water. Beautiful views and great to have the screened in porch to relax in. The cottage was lovely and my 3 kids enjoyed staying there and had plenty to do. There is not much close by, Baddeck is about half hour away and has nice shops and restaurants. This is a perfect location to get away from it all and relax.

Richard was very attentive to our comfort and needs. Being from the States, I did not have cell coverage in Canada. To further complicate things, inclement weather caused their internet connection to be inconsistent, so we were unable to touch base with him once we arrived. He sent his sister over the next day to make sure all was well, and came and updated us on the internet situation. Both he and his sister were most gracious and genuinely interested in our wellbeing. Regarding the house, it was absolutely perfect and ideal for us as we desired to find a secluded place to rest and recoup from a busy schedule. The trees isolate you from views of any other houses, and the windows allow a wonderful view of the ocean. We particularly enjoyed walking the shoreline and finding beautiful rocks and shells. We would absolutely seek to stay here again!

Very beautiful place on the water. Private snd quiet area. Distance was a little far from town and hiking but views made up for it. Very friendly host and everything was as expected snd more. Would definitely stay there again!
