Ci siamo trovati molto bene nella casa di Jairon, siamo stati anche due notti in più. La casa è in una zona molto tranquilla, ha tutto ciò che serve, e la mamma, Rosi, ci ha portato sorprese culinarie deliziose!

Der Bungalow ist ein Schmuckstück, ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war in einem top Zustand und von guter Qualität. Das ist bei AirBnB nicht selbstverständlich. Der Bungalow steht abseits der Hauptstraße in einer privaten und ruhigen Umgebung. Platanillo liegt etwas erhöht, was das Klima nachts angenehm macht. Ich konnte prima schlafen. Jeiron und seine Familie sind sehr herzliche, hilfsbereite und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Ich habe mich wie ein Teil der Familie gefühlt. Egal welche Frage ich hatte, alle wurden beantwortet. Vom Friseur, über den Schuster bis hin zum Bus für die Weiterreise - überall waren sie behilflich. Die Familie hat mich zu den Ausflügen am Wochenende mitgenommen, das war jedesmal ein tolles Erlebnis. Von Matapalo bis Cartago, am Strand bis zu einer Finka. Immer mit netten Menschen und in toller Umgebung. Ich komme sicher wieder.

The family serves as a great ambassador for the hospitality and graciousness of Costa Rica. I, like the other reviewers, had a great time here, and will always treasure the memories. As one other review noted about the abundance of bird species, you’ll see them right from your balcony and especially early in the AM and at dusk. (A tip, download the free smartphone app Merlin. Even if you’re not quite quick enough to catch a phone of them, the Sound ID option is great. You’ll need to download the database for birds of Costa Rica. I’m just a beginning birder, but I had loads of fun with it). Thanks you guys! 😊

Warmth of the family: What can I say. The best place in the whole Costa Rica for authentic style of long term living. The family of Rosi, Oscar, Jairon were like a family to us. We even had the chance to taste so many delicious traditional dishes made by Rosi. We got so much better in spanish just by talking to them about everything. Tree House like living: The house that is set on the columns, it feels like you are much more connected with the trees and bird families. The mountain view is spectacular everyday. This place is a hidden paradise of birds. Message for birdlovers : you won´t find more peaceful place to observe many kinds of toucans, families of bubulcus, frentirrojos (green parrots), golden-bellied flycatcher, red tanagers. Buy yourselves some binoculars! First thing we did every morning when we woke up between 5 and 5:30 am on the birds singing, we just walked to the terrace enlightened by the morning sun. (psst: we put the few curtains down to have more sunlight)
