Casa Sol Apt 1 is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood two blocks from the main avenue in the heart of downtown Tulum. This comfortable ground floor apt provides the perfect welcome after a day at the beach or ruins. Enjoy the chef-friendly kitchen, lush garden, chic living room, smart TV, and very comfy king beds. Toys and other kid and baby accessories available upon request. Beach and pool access through Akiin Beach Club a short drive away. Casa Sol is a unique home built with care and featuring many touches of fine craftsmanship. This is a home created for me and my family, so comfort and convenience were integrated into the design and improvements made over the years added to that. I'm particularly proud of the large kitchen. I hope you like to cook! The high ceilings and spacious interiors are an open invitation to stay home, and the perfect welcome after a long hot day at the beach. The place is cute and spacious. It’s in a good location close to all of the central Tulum attractions. Parking was easy (through someone did mess with our car / no one’s fault). We didn’t cook, but the kitchen is lovely for someone who does. The internet did go out for two days (again, out of the host’s control) which was a little bit of a bummer, but that happens. Drinkable water is provided, which was nice!

Large, well-equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and large bathtubs, private patio with access from the rooms, pets allowed, quiet neighborhood in the center, everything is within walking distance. We feel at home. The host was friendly and communications were easy and fast all the time.

The neighborhood is centrally located off a street many locals use as a shortcut on their way back from the beach. It is in downtown Tulum (in the town itself).
The excellent location is a minute away from all the best that Tulum has to offer –restaurants, supermarkets, stores, bars, the gym, dive and tour shops and much more. You will love staying in this charming home.
The award winning Tulum beach is less than ten minutes away by car. Casa Sol Apt is in close proximity to local cenotes, Xel Ha Park, Jaguar National Park, the Sian Kaan Biosphere, archeological sites like the Tulum, Muyil and Coba Ruins and other attractions.

Rent a bike from us! The beach is a 25 minute ride away and many local attractions like cenotes and the Tulum ruins are in easy biking distance. Contact us after you have booked for more info on bike rentals.
Renting a car or scooter is another great way to get around the area, especially for longer stays. We can facilitate scooter rentals too. The beach is less than ten minutes away by car, and there are many other cool things to do in the surrounding areas. Coba, Akumal, Valladolid, archaeological sites, etc.
There is ample street parking near the apartment and space for bikes or scooters inside the compound.
Taxi cabs are easily hailed and should have a price list you can ask to consult. If haggling do so prior to getting in the cab. Tipping is appreciated but not expected (except for airport runs or all day excursions).
We are a few blocks from the ADO bus station, an inexpensive way to get to the airport as well as various archeological sites.
Public transportation vans, a.k.a. "colectivos," can be hailed from the main avenue as they go up to Playa del Carmen (they will drop you off anywhere along their route too). There are also vans that go to the beach, but these must be taken from specific stops and are sometimes reserved for locals commuting.
