Incredible location right on the ocean with breathtaking views. Waves crashing in front of you. The house was wonderful BUT, cockroaches came under screen door and beach equipment was unusable (broken beach chairs and snorkel gear that was piled like junk). Vacasa was very responsive, sent pest control and cleaners and provided a new beach chair. Love the house and would stay there again.

A house on the beach perfectly tucked away in a quiet peaceful neighborhood, perfect for a relaxation vacation! The open kitchen, dining, living, outdoor space is amazing.

This is the first time I've needed to leave a bad review on Airbnb. Hopefully these are non issues for future guests, and they are resolved since our stay. Pros: location as described, right on Kealakekua Bay Cons: TV remotes didn't work. Snorkel equipment broke while using - bring your own - lots of bugs. I live on Kauai - and my traveling companion was raised in Amazon rainforest. Neither of us are novices when it comes to bugs. One night we killed 14 roaches in a 30 minute window span. There were multiple roaches in the clean dishwasher. There was a massive ant trail in upstairs bedroom. Dead roach & 6 inch centipede in downstairs king bedroom closet. Communicated with host about bug concerns, they offered to come during our stay but we didn't want to dedicate our vacation to helping them fix their bug issues. Big price tag to be our own exterminators - We bought traps - and initiated refund request 10/2 but as of 10/11 they have been unable to help. Will escalate to Airbnb.

We loved it - can’t get a better location for kayaking and snorkeling! We will definitely rent it again if we are back on the Big Island!

The location, in a quiet neighborhood and so close to the water, is incredible. Snorkeling, kayaking, diving and more fun times in the water are exceptionally easy and enjoyable with lots to see above and below the waterline. The home is quite comfortable and has plenty of room for six or so…and the setting is so peaceful. We’ll be back, hopefully soon!
