Such a lovely mini break. Beautiful house in a stunning location and amazing hosts. Lynn and Pete were so friendly and welcoming. Incredible breakfast as well. Would definitely recommend it to others 😊
Lynn and Pete were fantastic and welcoming hosts! The Old Barn is in a secluded and charming location. Close enough to town (Buxton) and many hikes, but at the end of a little road near fields. Breakfast was a true highlight - Lynn makes an incredible full English breakfast and it was such a pleasure to chat in the mornings. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return some day.
The B and B is in the most beautiful location and the instructions were perfect to help us find it. It was so close to Buxton and a short drive to Bakewell too but felt like we were miles away from the hustle and bustle - so peaceful. The room had enough space for us and the travel cot that was kindly provided. It was clean and even had a kettle, tea, coffee, milk and cookies which we devoured. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice and a delicious cooked breakfast to fuel us for our days. Our favourite part about the whole stay though was meeting Lynn and Pete. They were so welcoming and we felt relaxed and at home from the first point of contact even before booking. They were knowledgeable about the area and clearly loved where they lived (who can blame them its beautiful!) They were so interesting and helped us to find some lovely walks that we could do with our 5 month old. Thank you for making our first family holiday so special, we would come back again in a heartbeat.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or for better hosts. The house is beautiful and the room has everything you could need. Lynn and Pete made us feel really welcome and were great for local knowledge and recommendations and the breakfast was the best full English we’ve ever had! We’ll definitely be back :)
A beautiful little secluded bnb. Lynn was an amazing host, any questions we had were answered! Also a great breakfast on both mornings. 10 minutes outside of Buxton and a beautiful bedroom. Will definitely book again if we return to Buxton.

自我介绍
I work part time in the largest remaindered bookstore in the country, which is just 3 miles from home. It fits perfectly with my love of books and meeting new people. Pete and I both enjoy the outdoors and are keen runners and cyclists. We also enjoy walking and have completed several long distance paths as well as many of the Dark and White peak footpaths. We enjoy music concerts and the theatre. We are of course very lucky to be 3 miles away from the famous Buxton Opera House which offers a wealth of every genre of theatre. Family and friends are very important to us; we regularly look after our grandchildren and entertain friends. We have a friendly, easy style of hosting. Our am is to make all of our guests as comfortable as possible and meet all need where we can whilst they share our home.
