Introducing The Old Chapel: Following the success and glowing reviews of the Old Bank Bakewell, we embarked on a quest for another unique stay. Enter The Old Chapel, a labor of love renovation resulting in a charming three-bedroom, all-ensuite stay unlike any other. Perfect for short getaways or week-long stays. Enjoy peaceful nights in king-sized beds fitted with luxurious 500-thread-count sheets. Each en-suite features spacious dual showers, fluffy robes, and slippers for ultimate relaxation. Step inside to discover a spacious open-plan kitchen and inviting panelled living room, complete with a crackling log burner. Ascend the staircase to the ensuite master bedroom, boasting its original arched window. Climb the second staircase to the mezzanine, a relaxing space for games, leading to the ensuite Mez Bedroom. Meanwhile, the ground floor hosts the third ensuite bedroom, accessed discreetly through a hidden door.

What a wonderful place to stay, with so many nice thoughtful touches. This place is so luxurious and we felt right at home immediately. Fabulous coffeemaker, kitchen so well equipped, beautiful wood burning stove so we felt cosy and warm. Great location, so close to Bakewell and Chatsworth, but really peaceful in the village (but you still have all the basics nearby, shop, tea room, pub). This was just how an Airbnb should be - bravo Hannah, and thank you for sharing your home with us.
A fantastic property which has been thoughtfully renovated to provide first class holiday accommodation. The attention to detail is amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We had a fantastic stay in Hannah’s beautiful chapel. It was stylishly renovated, a lot of thought has been put into bringing natural light into such an old building. The decor and furnishings were top quality. It was clean and cosy. The area is also beautiful. I can highly recommend a trip to the Peak District strict. Thank you Hannah.
Extremely well presented holiday property ! Everything was new inside and so well designed and thought out . High quality fixtures & fittings , gave the house a real touch of luxury . Really nice touch of cookies , crisps , coffee. Chocolates and Prosecco were extremely well received by all of us , Thankyou ! Beds super comfy, and the best shower! Great village location , with parking outside. Fantastic local gastro pub recently re- opened The Ashford arms , fabulous food , ambience and service . Hannah our host was super helpful , and clearly has an eye for detail . The house is a credit in design , whilst retaining so many original features . Can’t wait to come back again !
An admirable conversion of an old methodist chapel. Everything was top quality and new with any thoughtful touches. I think most people would prefer the softened, fragrant linen but we needed unperfumed fabrics. Hannah was happy to remove scented bed linen and air fresheners prior to our arrival .
