One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed in. The cottage was spotless, so comfortable and quiet, and very charming. It’s in a great location with an easy 10 minute into the lovely picturesque village of Ashford in the Water with 2 great pub/ restaurants. The people are so friendly and Kathryn was a perfect host.

The cottage was beautiful and absolutely spotless, well equipped and everything from the bedding, kitchen utensils and furniture was such good quality. Kathryn communicated every step of the way and was so helpful. We found that the recycling plant next door was not a problem at all, in fact we never heard a thing. It was a short, safe walk into Ashford, which is a beautiful village, the Bulls Inn was a lovely pub, really friendly staff with good food and beer. A great location for so many lovely walks, would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic week at Kathryn's cottage. We loved the location, as it was really convenient to access many of the key attractions for us, and Ashford In The Water was a cute little village with pubs and a cafe on offer. Plus very close to Bakewell and Thornbridge Brewery too. The cottage was spotless and all the little extra touches and sit feel cosy and homey without it feeling cluttered. We loved watching the birds, horses, cats and pheasants from the bedroom window in the mornings. Couldn't recommend staying here enough.

Lovely home, super cosy and in the middle of some great walking trails. Perfect for my weekend away and host couldn’t be any better 10/10 :)

Lovely home well furnished and nice bathroom products. kitchen was equipped for cooking more than hust simple meals, handy tupper wear for making picnic lunches for our days out. The home is older and stone, but heating was plentiful and had full control. Only small frustration was we struggled to get the water hot enough for a full hot bath even when boiler at max and needed to resort to some kettle trips. Would definitely return!
