1) The white sandy beach of Watu Kodok (one of the cleanest), in front of us, 2-3 minutes walking. It has one of the best sunrise and sunset (2 hills tops look out surrounding and some other nearby on a short hike like Kosakora, Drini).
The beaches face Indian Ocean and its waves. Swimming more suitable for experience swimmers. Fun for body boarding (we have 2 for free).
But we can show you the location of our swimming "lagoon" away from the crowd where you can swim and snorkel safely when the tide is right (mid).
There are small ocean pool-holes at another beach nearby at low tide, to have a jacuzzi like experience.
2) Our place is perfect for yoga and meditation. We can help you on meditation with different practices, from the Java spiritual melting-pot traditions.
3) Our garden is surrounded by trees, some are old high vibration trees. We can introduce you to forest therapy and tree hugging, as well as walking barefoot therapy.
3) Exclusive from our community, they can bring you for a local life "Javanese" experience, at our traditional farmer village community, 15 minutes driving inland. It is a non touristic community based immersion.
You can trek to the village through forest and farming fields (about 2 hours) or we can drive you there with local farmer pick up.
They can offer you the following activities:
- The most adventurous you will be able to descend a local adventurous karstic cave « Jurassic world » hole with safe climbing ropes.
- Explore the underground horizontal meditation cave Grengseng (with stalagmite/stalactite). It was Javanese last Hindu King Bramijaya V, meditating cave. We can even guide you for a deep meditation experience there.
- There is an ecoprint & plastic recycling products workshop where you can try tracing leaves clothes or bags and shop their products.
- After that you will enjoy a local village dinner at our cook home and sharing their life.
- The experience can end with a gamelan evening workshop with the local village band where you will all play together traditional Javanese partition inspired from Ramayana and Mahabharata mythology.
4) We can bring you also to traditional local ceremonies ans festivals if there are any at the time you are here.
Some are supra natural experience of trance dance like Jatilan or Rasulan festival (cleansing), full moon, dark moon or just traditions like wedding, circumcision and any party, concert music gamelan etc...which are all part of traditional Javanese life, if there are any at the time of your stay.
5) Many trekking possibilities around the hills, beaches and bays of Gunung Kidul. Walking trails around rice fields and forest behind the hill. The farmers and fishermen may show you how they farm/fish in a still traditional way.
6) We can book traditional massage (acupressure) from our local healers.
7) You can spot pilot whales around July to October just cruising behind the breaking waves at our beach to feed.
8) Surfing. You can try surfing at the most suitable beach for that, Wediombo beach, part of a Geopark, with astonishing bay view, just an hour deriving from our place. They rent surf boards and can show you.
9) We are central located to the more touristic Gunungkidul beaches like:
- Drini beach with traditional fishermen and fresh sea foods restaurants, kayak rental (within walking distance)
- Sanglen and its natural jacuzzi pool at low tide and beautiful sunrise spot next to our beach (within walking distance)
- Ngobaran sacred cliff and beach (the equivalent of Bali Uluwatu in Java) with Hindu, Islam, Kejawan and Kejawen temples with possibility to attend some ceremony if any, and on the way the holy Gua Santa Maria (Cave) where she appeared to local people (about half our scooter distance).
- Watu Nene & Seruni (hidden quite beaches accessible by scooter on gravel road & then a 10 minutes trek down cliff).
- Wediombo, part of a Geopark, where you can surf.
- Timang beach, where you can experience the local cable car over the ocean to a rock.
- Water fall of Sri Gethuk, place for cleansing, with the biggest river of our regency located between Yogyakarta & us inland about 1 hour.
10) We can organise your trip to explore the nearby most famous and touristic Jomblang cave and Kalisuci tube caving river adventure.
11) We can bring you to Prambanan temple & Borobudur stupa & mandala monument (it is not a temple). If you want avoid staying in the busy city to get there. It will take about 1 hour more than if you stay in touristic area of Yogyakarta.
12) On the way from/to Yogyakarta to our place there is a wooden batik village where you can experience the art of batik on mask or any wooden piece and can shop they artefacts for cheaper than city market.
Together with the above Nglanggeran ancient volcano with cocoa plantation and chocolate factory.

We offer community base transportation program from and to any places around Yogyakarta region. They can offer transportation for discovering the area as well.
Our aim is not to get any profit but to empower local villagers through drivers jobs, and get a fare share earning for their family.
We also use some of the money to plant trees and any plants around our property as green gas compensation.
It is the smoothest fastest and hassle free way to get here and around here.
We provide a mini MPV Suzuki APV (max 7 guests) and scooter rental.
Our location can also be accessed by rental car and scooters even if kind of "hidden in the bush". You just have to drive a short distance on the gravel Jl Watu Kodok road.
Taxi from Yogyakarta can bring you here as well.
There is also a cheaper slower option, public transportation. There are "Damri" shuttle bus going from International airport to city center Malioboro street and then to Baron beach. The beach is located 3 km from our place.
There are scooters taxi who may bring you here.
The distance from our place to city center Yogyakarta is about 50km. The average time is about 1,5 to 2 hours, depending on the traffic jam.
Type "Jiwa Laut Bukit Kelor" or "Pantai Watu Kodok" on maps to get here. We advise to use offline maps and apps as the 3/4G signal is not strong in our area.
