Our family had an amazing time at Flo’s place. My kids loved getting to feed the chickens, peacocks and horses. They played with the sweet dogs for hours and hours. We enjoyed some time down at the creek and soaked up the view of horses from practically every window. Flo was incredible - super easy to communicate with before our arrival and available and helpful during our stay. The kids are already planning our next trip back!
When I arrived, it felt like I was in heaven! My dog and I were greeted by smiling border collies. The farm is beautiful- lots of horses, chickens and peacocks. My NYC dog was without words as he laid down in the fresh, cool creek. Flo and Hannah were wonderful hosts and taught me a lot about horses. I’ve never seen such beautiful horses! Lastly, a dozen fresh eggs were waiting for me when I arrived. They were the best eggs I’ve ever had. Be sure to thank the chickens!! Highly recommend!!
This is the perfect place for a beautiful, relaxing getaway! The house is clean and spacious with everything we needed! The property is picturesque and it was a lot of fun to meet all the animals. It was lovely to wake up and stroll through the field to the creek and pet the horses. Quiet, zen location but also an easy drive to get to nearby towns like Manchester. Flo and Hannah are amazing hosts and made us feel like we were right at home! I can't wait to go back!
Absolutely gorgeous property. Clean and very nice quality accommodations. Hanging with the animals was a treat. A perfect place to drop out for a few days. Fisherman can enjoy good brook trout fishing on Camden Creek, and the Batten Kill is a short walk. Also, a more than fair price for everything included.
We loved our stay at Flo and Hannah’s wonderful farm getaway! The house was a delight with a scenic backdrop and made for a lovely long weekend. The best part was the proximity to the animals and farm life as well as the nearby scenic creek. The house was a convenient drive to cute towns in both New York and Vermont, and was close to a scenic creek spot for swimming and playing with the farm’s friendly dogs. The reception and Wi-Fi was spotty (quick tip: download offline maps!), but the nature and great company were certainly the main event. We appreciated Flo and Hannah being such fantastic hosts during our stay. They were available to assist with any questions that arose, gave us recommendations for local attractions, and even introduced us to the animals during a farm tour. Overall, great stay and many thanks to Flo and Hannah for hosting us!

自我介绍
I am a woman farmer who breeds warmblood sport horses and Border Collies. I grow and harvest hay for the farm, use wood for heat and usually grow a lot of my own food. I love the natural world and feel privileged to live here. There is a spring-fed creek on the farm, and opportunities to visit with the farm animals and go for walks or hikes. Camping is available by the creek with permission. The Battenkill River is a quarter mile from the farm and offers fly fishing, kayaking, tubing and swimming. We are close to popular Vermont shopping and skiing towns and 50 minutes from Saratoga race course. There are a number of golf courses within close driving. The area also offers terrific farmer's markets, seasonal classic car shows, hot air balloon festivals, road biking in scenic countryside, the Dorset VT horse show, Salem sculpture park, local Battenkill Creamery ice cream, fall foliage, fiber farm tours, and performances at Saratoga Performing Arts Center and other art and theater venues. If there is a specific activity you are looking for, please ask! The space is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a kitchen, pantry, refrigerator/freezer, sink, dishrack, electric stove and oven. There is a microwave, coffee maker, glasses, silverware, place setting for 4, cast iron frying pan and a couple of cooking pots. A dining room table for 4 and counter seating for 2 rounds out kitchen/dining. A stacking washer/dryer is included in the space. Both bedrooms have a queen bed. There is ample storage. Wifi is currently fiber optic high-speed internet with Slic. I'm fortunate to have a friend who sells hospital and school disinfection system and has made that available to me for my safety and yours. We have a backup generator in case there is a power outage in bad weather. Heat,water and lights will work. Only doing laundry is too much for the generator. Bringing your pet is possible, but with permission, as they would have to be kept safe and not interfere with the peace of the animals that live here. Current vaccinations and flea and tick control are mandatory.
