My recent stay at the Donner Lake house was truly memorable. The classic cabin feel added charm and coziness, making it perfect for a family vacation. From kayaks and SUPs for water adventures to moments of solitude inside, there was something for all ages. The well-equipped BBQ and deck area became the heart of family gatherings, where generations came together to create lasting memories. Despite minor cosmetic concerns, the blend of activities, stunning views, and quality time made it an excellent choice for a family getaway.

Byron's house is the best for multi-generational gatherings! There is everything needed for every age, from grab bars in the bathrooms for the elderly, to tiny life preservers for the little ones (Byron also provided a portacrib and highchair). The location on the lake is the best - when you sit in the hottub and look out it seems like you are the only house on the lake. All the water toys make it easy for everyone to go out on their own time to have some fun ... no need to always be planning big group outings. The kitchen(s) have everything you need (kitchen aid, pancake griddle ... etc) - no need to bring anything from home. Byron is a great communicator and replies immediately. His brother Mike came over to show us how to use the hobie cat, which we loved! At one point we needed a tablesaw (!) to fix something that belonged to us, and Mike gave us access to the garage to use it! All around great experience. We hope to come up again with the generations on the other side of the family!

This is a great house for a large group, with lots to do on the water (stand up paddleboard, kayaks, little sailing boat, etc.), plenty of life vests, hot tub, etc. There is a large central living space for everyone to gather in and lots of little areas off of that main area for people to retreat to. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking supplies and we found pretty much everything we needed. Hopefully the owners will replace the main downstairs stove (it was acting up when we were there) and in general it is comfortable, but could use a few upgrades/replacements that I've suggested. If you are looking for a "luxury" experience or have high maintenance guests, look elsewhere but our entire group did have a lot of fun and it was a GREAT location.

We were a group of 22ppl and absolutely loved this place! The house is directly at the lake with its own deck and a great view. The facilities available gave us diverse opportunities to do. The kanus, stand up padles, sailboat & motorboat were always in use, while others were either sunbathing or fishing - it‘s a dream. Further, Byron was an amazing host and we could contact him anytime. Therefore we definitely recommend this place to everyone:)
