We had a wonderful & peaceful last minute break at Amanda & Tom’s magic roundhouse. We absolutely loved our time there & we can’t wait to come back. Amanda is a brilliant host & it shows it all the extra thoughtful details- warm bread, popcorn, hot chocolate, amazing pottery, a jar of tea-light candles, lovely towels & soap, the tiny lidded salt dish, the huge iron kettle. We loved all of it. Tom is a master thatcher & design genius. We love you guys! Thanks for the memorable stay. x

Amazing! We had a brilliant time staying in the roundhouse and also spent a night in the yurt. Marshmallows and popping corn were provided for us to make on the campfire, along with a hamper for breakfast with homemade bread, jams and spreads and milk. Amanda was so helpful and kind and had thought of everything. The roundhouse felt very secure and cosy and the yurt was a wonderful experience. We will be returning soon!

Amanda was lovely and very helpful with everything, she even gave us paracetamol when we asked for some since we’d forgot to bring some and it didn’t seem possible to grab any as it was a bank holiday. She provided delicious freshly baked bread and tasty homemade cider and even gave us a loaf of gluten free bread for my bf from a local bakery which was very nice when toasted on the fire apparently. Even recommended a local apple orchard after we’d mentioned how nice the apple juice given for breakfast was. Overall it was a lovely place to stay. The hut we stayed in was very pretty and very comfortable, all in all it had a very homey vibe. My bf enjoyed cooking by the fire and it was definitely an experience having to boil the water to have a shower but was a lot of fun. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. Would throughly recommend as an amazing weekend getaway for everyone. Will be looking at going again even if it is just to see their dog Delta.

What a wonderful place to stay! Clearing in the woods on a wonderful nature filled farm. Great part of Somerset. Amanda was a wonderful host and there were so many thoughtful touches including how the facilities are set up, as well as a flask of home made cider and freshly made bread. Many thanks!

Amanda's roundhouse was such a wonderful destination for a relaxing holiday away from city life. It was nicely designed, quiet and isolated, surrounded by beautiful woods, which made us feel deeply immersed in nature. We had fun cooking on the firepit. Loved the outdoor shower too. The weather was nice and we saw lots of stars at night which was amazing. Amanda was very friendly, hospitable, considerate and communicative. Highly recommended!!
