Over the weekend my suspicion that the cottage hadn’t been cleaned grew, as we noticed more and more things. There were false eyelashes left on the shower, unsavoury stains on the towels, hairs all over the bed, the upstairs flush is broken, the dishwasher was broken, so when my partner pulled it out to stack it collapsed onto his foot, smashing a glass. I didn’t want to not enjoy the weekend so I waited til the last day to share my concerns with Christy, once I did- she ignored my message. The heating button on the hot tub was also broken- was a bit too cold for that weekend, which was a shame as we were really looking forward to that. I think the location is great and the cottage has great potential, just needs the right process of cleaning and utility work.

We had a lovely 3 night stay. Perfect for a little getaway. The hot tub is the great and lovely and hot. Located right on the Grand Western Canal so perfect for walking and cycling. We will definitely be returing.

Really private lodge, we felt really at home and loved our stay here. It’s in the Somerset/devon border so we spent the best of both worlds! Lovely little folder containing all recommendations on arrival. All very clean, and such comfy beds, nice pillows and warm duvets. Even though it was April, it was pretty chilly but the heating was amazing! I

We was very optimistic about staying here after reading reviews but it was actually really good! Signal for phones is really bad but once you get access to WiFi it’s perfectly fine :) Nice and quiet only traffic you get are farmers! 2 doubles beds downstairs with a big on suite! Only downside was the bed upstairs /: it’s really loud and moves a lot! Other then that we will be returning :)
