We are an active and curious couple, Michael + Maria, that loves to travel, live life by the beach, meet interesting people, learn and Yes, surf whenever possible. We believe there is something magical about spending time in coastal regions and we hope you do to! With a passion for coastal living and some experience in renovation properties Maria and I decided to rehab an old bungalow to its original charm. We knew we would spend time there with our family and friends, because we love the area and the place, but did not realize how much our guests would love it or the impact it could have. We have had so much fun and become very passionate about creating memorable guest stays, unique experiences and making more of an impact. Since our first bungalow we have grown to cover both coasts and add more places to stay. The “original” Live Swell Beach Bungalow, The Chill Beach and Surf Bungalow, is still available for rent in the OBX today. Our favorite time of year in the OBX is the fall + late spring when the weather is beautiful, the fishing is great, crowds are down and the surfs up. As hosts: We am super easy going, we respect our guest privacy but may stop in to say hello As guests: Super laid back and low maintenance Favorite Destinations: Outer Banks NC, San Diego, California, Baja Mexico, Guancaste Costa Rica, Spain, Peru, Long Island NY.
