This was perfect for our family! We enjoyed the creek, traveled to an old cavern nearby and went skiing at Winterplace. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

We had a fantastic long weekend in this cabin. Beautifully, remotely situated with a lovely front porch facing a pretty little creek and a tin roof to hear the driving rain. Mountains all around with breathtaking views and sunsets right up the road. Like other reviewers said, the cell service and wifi are not so great which makes it a great excuse to tune out.

We recently stayed at the cabin and were surprised how far from the gorge this cabin is. A search for cabins near the New River caused us to choose this one 80 miles from where we thought we'd be. (Heads up in case you are searching for same reason. This is not close to the gorge) Overall the cabin was nice but had not been cleaned thoroughly in some areas including the refrigerator, cabinets and stove. They were quite dirty. The couch had tape covering a tear, the bathroom door handle was broken and some kitchen chairs were falling apart. On our 3rd day, we went to take out our 1st bag of trash and the outdoor trash can was completely full. (With no one in the cabin next door) We enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness of the cabin but we were disappointed with the location (our fault) and the general upkeep of the cabin.

Great place to take the family by the river and do tubing or have a fire. Nice fireflies at night. My kids loved it.

Honestly running out of words to tell how much I enjoyed my vacation and that would not be possible without a great host like New River with a fantastic AirBnB! Really is a gem, this property! I checked in on Thursday night, was planning to work on Friday if possible given the poor (ZERO) cellular coverage and okay wifi connection. To my surprise, not only I was able to work but also attend a few meetings after which this awesome place gave me a chance to crack open a cold one and submerge into the river to get rid of all the week's work stress! Very happy with the experience, 20/10, 100% recommended if you are looking for a plugged-out gate-away weekend. Thank you, New River!
