Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Amazing views over the Cumbrian fells that will inspire any walkers and lovers of the countryside. A unique, light and spacious layout situated only a mile from the National Park. It is ideally suited for those wanting to walk, swim, sail and enjoy the peace and quiet of a rural setting. It is 3 miles from the vibrant town of Cockermouth with its many coffee houses and restaurants. The barn conversion is set over three floors with scenic views of the Western Fells, including Skiddaw. There is a log burning stove ( fire lighters are provided and logs supplied at extra cost) to make the living area feel welcoming and cosy. The kitchen is well appointed with plenty of work surface, crockery, utensils and cookware if you want to create fabulous holiday food! Three nicely decorated rooms, either with views of the fells or the garden. There is also a study, if a quiet space is needed for remote working or just relaxing with a book. Outside is a patio and garden, mainly to lawn which benefits from afternoon and evening sunshine. There is a barbeque (charcoal not provided).

Beautiful place, stayed here with a few friends and we all had such a good time, thank you! The place was even better than the photos and Helen was so friendly and gave us lots of recommendations. Will be back here again :)

Helen and Colin were fantastic hosts. The place was absolutely gorgeous! Spotless and exactly as described. They were very welcoming with great instructions on finding the place. They gave good recommendations on walks and wild swims which were all spot on. They had supplied some local bread and eggs in the kitchen which were lovely! We did have a problem with one of the amenities not functioning correctly, but they immediately came to see the problem and had it fixed the next day. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, very quick to reply to messages, and we were very impressed. Sitting out in the garden was lovely, lots of birds to listen to and the garden was secure for the dog.
The stay was lovely, Helen was very accessible and helpful. We had a lovely time, we would love to stay there again.
Absolutely beautiful place with everything you could need

Our village is 1 mile from the Lake District National park and also with easy access to the beautiful Solway Coast. It is three miles from the vibrant town of Cockermouth (birthplace of Wordsworth). It is close to Keswick, Whinlatter Forest (walking, running, mountain biking, "Go Ape" and segway hire in season). Several well known lakes are easily accessed - Crummock Water , Buttermere, Derwent Water and Ennerdale Water. Ideal for paddling, paddleboarding and wild water swimming in crystal clear water. This part of Cumbia is wonderful and away from the crowds. There is so much to do!
