We could not have asked for a cuter home to spend our time in the Lakes. Polly is the sweetest host and the house is impeccable. The house accommodated for all our needs and more. I can't wait to visit again.

This was our second visit to Polly and James’s cottage, this time with a few more family members. Absolutely love the place which has been decorated and furnished to an impressive standard. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and the reality of the cottage absolutely matches up with the photographs & description. Very well equipped and feels like a genuine home. Had a great stay (again) and would highly recommend.

Not sure where to begin about my time at Polly's beautiful cottage in the Lake District. Firstly, it was perfectly located - equidistant to the major towns/villages/hikes/amenities in the North lakes area. Polly was so friendly, easy-going and helpful with endless recommendations and eagerly supplied anything extra we needed (dry robes on hand!). The bread, milk and eggs on arrival was such a fantastic touch. The cottage itself is picture perfect, every feature elevating the stay to something extra special from the two word burning stoves, to the huge Everhot in the kitchen and the luxurious feel of all the furnishings in each room. I felt really lucky to stay here and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

This is the most beautiful cottage and so peaceful and relaxing , everything about it deserves a 5 star rating. Polly was there to greet us with a very friendly welcome , along with a lovely home made cake and lots of local produce. Everything about the cottage is just so lovely, the interior design is all very tasteful. The kitchen is very well equipped with a fully stocked pantry, a fabulous range cooker along with a comfy sofa and a wood burning stove with plenty of logs. Comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms , a lovely snug room with another log burner and a garden with fabulous views. We will definitely be back and recommend. .
