The Animas Valley Lodge is 3 min from City Market and the north end of Durango, 5 min from Durango Hot Springs, 24 min from Purgatory Resort, across the street from Mountain Annie's Dispensary and a trolley stop to go downtown. We have beautiful views of Animas City Mountain and the Animas Valley and sit on almost an acre of land. The lodge currently has three private guest units available for up to 18 guests. Stay at the newest Airbnb in the Animas Valley! This four bedroom, 2.5 bath space is perfect for a large group of family or friends. You can enjoy coffee in the sunroom with views of the Animas Valley or relax in the 8-person hot tub with views of Animas City Mountain. There's a full kitchen, living and dining rooms plus 2.5 baths. There's a king bedroom with a private bath, a king bedroom with a daybed, a queen bedroom and a kids sleeping nook with a day bed and trundle. There's also a daybed in the sunroom for those who want to sleep under the stars. There's a smart TV with streaming services, a karaoke microphone, a portable speaker, and board games.

We were very happy with Meghan's place. There was plenty of space for our large group. There are very few options for large groups (8 to 10) in the Durango area and this is clearly the best we have found to date. The location is so convenient, just a couple miles north of town. Everything was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable and there were more than enough towels for everyone. The hot tub is a wonderful amenity and we enjoyed it very much. Meghan was very responsive to any questions we had. We definitely plan to come back in the near future.
We really enjoyed our stay. The place is much bigger than we anticipated. We had two sets of adults with 3 kids and more than enough room to sleep and hang out. The property is recently renovated and nicely furnished. The location is fantastic - quick trip to down town and about 25 mins to Purgatory. It’s a multi unit property, with part of the property under construction. But, we didn’t even notice any noise from the unit. Would definitely stay again!

The Animas Valley Lodge is a beautiful getaway, just 3 minutes from Durango. You can see Animas City Mountain soaring behind the house and sweeping views of the Animas Valley from the front.
You can walk across the road to the trolley which runs during the daytime until early evening and will take you to many stops downtown. If you want to go to the hot springs or ski resort you will need a car to get there. There are Uber's available with the app.

In the summer of 2023, I moved to Durango, Colorado from Austin, Texas where I lived for 12 years (I'm a native Texan). I fell in love with the mountains, slower pace and outdoor adventure opportunities. I visit Texas regularly to check on my properties and visit friends and family. I have three rescue pups that are my favorite adventure buddies: Penny, a brindle shepherd mix; Luna, a Border Collie mix; and Lizzy, a German Shepherd Dachshund mix.
