THE HOST: I can honestly say I've have yet to meet nicer people on AirBnB and I've had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful host. Mike and Ana treated us like family. They trusted us in their beautiful home and I only hope that we took care of it in a way that is up to their standards. Communication was effortless and consistent, I could tell that our host cared about giving us a positive experience not just in their home but in the surrounding areas as well. Mike greeted us on arrival and was exactly as I pictured a caring gentleman who hopes to rent to people that will take care of and respect his property but also have a great time! We most certainly did! THE VILLA: All past reviews were correct, the pictures just don't do this Lakeview Villa much justice (and the pictures are amazing lol) 360 degree views, the lake and mountains on one side and the hills and homes on the other side. Windows upon windows so you don't have to miss a single thing. Everything was neat and in it place inside the home. Mike gave us a tour, showed us how to use the gadgets and anything else we wanted to use on the property before leaving us to our own devices. Honestly, there was very little reason to even leave the house (but we did of course). Villa is spacious, it's also surrounded by nature and wildlife. My bestie and I were visited by a family of deer, turkey, humming and other birds and even some colorful insects :)! Views are far as the eye can see. Lovely home and lovely host, I recommend Lakeview Villa for your next stay. Only an hour away from some beautiful wineries in Napa and it had a few good picks right in town as well. THE AREA: The villa sits at the top of a windy road and hill that can be difficult to navigate at night and with a sun glare. Other than that it was a very peaceful place. Lakeport is a tiny adorable town with some beautiful artwork on some of it's buildings. We also got to drive through the other nearby town of Kelseyville which was cute as well. We spent time in Lakeport's parks, at the movie theatre, walking around town (during a car show!) I'm a big city girl who idealized small town life and was happy to get the opportunity to experience it for myself. It is very different as to be expected so I did a vast amount of research on the location, the people, the restaurants, the bars and any other activities I thought I might want to partake in prior to booking the trip. Everything was exactly as I expected it to be and that made me very happy :).

Anastacia and Michael’s house is an extraordinary gem of a property. The view is stunning, exactly as advertised. Our family of 6 stayed there. The spacious house wraps around the pool (great for kids) and back patio with gorgeous trellis and multiple spots for relaxing. All of this is set against a beautiful backdrop of the lake. The large kitchen was great for cooking family meals and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Michael was a gracious host. He was very responsive and gave us local recommendations. We can’t wait to plan our next stay there when we come to Clearlake.

My family needed a little time together and I couldn't imagine a sweeter place to reconnect. The cozy home, the pool, the view, the tiki bar... My husband never left the hammock. We cannot wait for our next visit. It was blissful! Thank you Anastacia and Michael for sharing your home.

We returned for another 12 day stay because we just loved Anastacia and Michael's home 2 years ago. It was great then and is even better now with a few improvements including an outdoor dining area/table for 8, new mattresses and new living room furniture. Do not hesitate, this rental is FABULOUS!
