Nestled in the heart of the beautiful market town of Pickering, The Old Farmhouse is a Grade II listed charming cottage dating back to the early 18th century and retains many original features. Providing a high standard of luxury with all the benefits of a modern home, the cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms and is ideally placed for all local amenities and sight seeing within the beautiful surrounding North Yorkshire Moors and villages. The Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay. We can accommodate up to 6 guests in the 3 upstairs bedrooms, with a king, a double and twin single beds with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. There is a family bathroom and separate en-suite which serves the master bedroom. The master and double are fitted with Emma Premium mattresses, and all rooms include hotel quality luxury bedding. The cosy sitting room downstairs has seating for 6 people on the 2 comfy sofas and even comfier winged chair! Gather round the log burner on those cool nights and read a book, watch the Smart TV which has access to Netflix, Amazon etc, or play a board game or two. There is a separate lovely dining area with a large farmhouse table which can accomodate sociable dining for 6 people. Also downstairs is a large cloakroom which houses a downstairs toilet, hanging hooks for coats, shoe storage and a washer/dryer. The kitchen has all the amenities of a modern home, with 2 Neff ovens with grill and microwave and a separate induction hob, spacious fridge and freezer and plenty of cupboard storage. Also available is a Tassimo coffee maker, we will supply a few pods for your first day but please bring further pods if needed if you enjoy a nice coffee! Wi-Fi is readily available throughout all the cottage. During the warmer months, you may wish to sit outside in the sunshine with a morning coffee or early evening drink. We can seat 6 people around an outside dining table, complete with parasol on the upper patio area or if you want a more relaxed vibe, why not sit on the chairs and sofa in the sun trap on the lower patio? The garden is beautiful all year round, especially in the evening when the fairy lights create a magical ambience! There is private parking for 2 cars to the rear of the cottage and we also have a secure bike shed should you wish to bring your bikes to explore the surrounding bike trails in Dalby Forest or the North Yorkshire Moors! We are dog friendly and have the benefit of an outside dog bath so muddy paws can be cleaned to ensure the inside of the cottage is kept clean for you and future guests. Whilst we appreciate you may wish to bring your doggy bed, we will supply one should it be needed for your pooch!
