The lodge has been delightfully updated and is part of a small complex with access to shared facilities including a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. A great base for walkers, hikers, climbers and nature lovers, this warm and relaxing log cabin is close to Windermere, Grasmere and Rydal Water. A couple of steps lead onto the wraparound decked area and through the French doors into the refreshing open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The peaceful lounge is an ideal space to settle back and watch a movie, while the central dining area is handily positioned so you can admire the woodland views as you share a meal which you can rustle up in the fully equipped kitchen. Exploring this warm and inviting cabin further, you will find an invigorating shower room and two cosy bedrooms, each with a Smart TV: there’s a spacious double room and a charming twin room overlooking the woodland area. Back outside, the decked terrace has plenty of outdoor furniture so you can enjoy a BBQ, sit back with a morning coffee or a glass of wine and take in the pretty woodland views. Skelwith Bridge (2.5 miles) has some friendly places to eat and drink and is ideal for visiting the northern shore of Windermere (4.5 miles). Rydal Water (6.5 miles) and Grasmere (8 miles) are to the north, with other local attractions including Wray Castle, Rydal Cave, Ambleside Roman Fort, Tarn Hows, Rydal Mount and Gardens, Stock Ghyll Force and Wordsworth Grasmere (all within 8.5 miles).
