Part of a charming complex of properties to the north of the picturesque village of Cartmel, this delightful first-floor apartment makes a wonderful getaway for a couple exploring the southern reaches of the Lake District. Part of an imaginatively converted mill, this light and refreshing property is within easy reach of the beautiful Cartmel Peninsula. Perfect for discovering Windermere and Coniston Water, the apartment provides cosy and relaxing accommodation for two guests, making it an ideal romantic retreat. Stairs from the shared hall lead up to this pretty first-floor apartment. The spacious, fresh and tastefully furnished open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner makes a wonderful living space, decorated with an array of ornaments and artwork. The inviting double bedroom is beautifully furnished and features low oak beams. The stylish shower room has a lovely walk-in rainfall shower and benefits from underfloor heating. Heading outside, there’s plenty of space in the shared garden and courtyard for you to unwind with a glass of wine or a BBQ and watch the comings and goings of the local wildlife at the nearby duck pond. Part of the Aynsome Manor Park complex, the apartment is a mile north of Cartmel, one of Cumbria’s loveliest villages. With its friendly pubs and restaurants, Cartmel is a wonderful village to relax in, with a range of independent shops selling antiques, second-hand books, gourmet cheeses and the village’s own sticky toffee pudding. The village is also home to a medieval priory and heritage centre. Some of the Lake District’s best-known lakes are to the north: Windermere (6 miles), Coniston Water (15 miles) and Esthwaite Water (11.5 miles). Visitors to the region can explore local landmarks and attractions including Holker Hall and Gardens (3 miles), Hampsfell (2.5 miles), Eggerslack Wood (4 miles) and Sizergh Castle (10.5 miles).
