This place is simply amazing! When we walked in, my whole family was complimenting me on finding it, but it's all Sunna & Mark who really put this place together nicely. You could spend a day in each room hanging out, but there was no time for that. The beds are comfortable, the house is spacious, and the kitchen is so nicely put together. Highly recommended to stay here!

We had a brilliant stay at Crown Cottage, it's very spacious and warm, and has everything you need for a great holiday. The location was was excellent, especially with our 1 year old son, there were easy walks from the doorstep, we enjoyed drinks (and a decadent celebratory meal) in Heft next door, we visited Sizergh Castle, Lake Windermere and had a delicious roast at Harry's Cafe down the road! Thank you, we would love to visit again.

We had a marvelous stay at Crown Cottage! Excellent, quick communication with Sunna and Mark, from the time of reservation until check-out. They provided clear instructions as well as guidebooks which were very helpful. The location is ideal for those visiting the Lakes. The cottage itself was cosy, clean, and full of character, it had everything we needed and more for our family (my parents, hubby and me, and two young children). It was even better than the photos. The bedrooms were spacious, and with comfy beds and pillows. The kitchen/breakfast room was our favourite - the beautiful AGA kept it lovely and warm and we enjoyed three nights all sat around the table, sharing stories and just spending time as a family. I cannot say thank you enough for the hospitality, Sunna and Mark! We would highly recommend anyone visiting the Lake District and surround areas to stay at Crown Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sunna and Mark’s exquisite cottage. The kitchen was light and warm, with the highlight being the Aga which came complete with instructions, useful for those who have never used one before. The rooms were very comfortable with fantastic bedding. We highly recommend Crown Cottage and we’d definitely stay there again!
