My sister and I wanted a little getaway to get some much needed R&R. We planned the trip around a visit to the Warm Springs Pool. This was the perfect place for our stay in the springtime! It was literally right on the river, so we sat outside and drank our coffee in the morning. Then after our mineral soaks up at the springs and lunch nearby (at the Old Dairy) we came back and took a little snooze on the porch as well - which was perfect. The surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. If we had had more time we would definitely have tried out the nearby walking/ biking trails. It also looks like Nella has everything needed for enjoying the river or having a family here. Definitely plan in advance for the food you will need/where you will go to eat. We were here on a Mon-Wed and a lot of places aren't open to eat Mon or Tues, but we got along just fine in the end. This is definitely a good cabin for a retreat and this part of the state is one of the most beautiful in the country!

Everything about our stay was excellent. Nella is a great host! The house is comfortable and welcoming. The opportunity to be on the river is a gift. The kitchen had everything we needed and is stocked with spices and other supplies. We hope to return soon.

Nice place in a great location. We had great fun riding bikes on the nearby trail and fishing in the Jackson River. My only issue is that the tap water is a tad sulfuric. There's a Brita filter pitcher in the fridge. But you might want to bring a good supply of bottled water with you. I don't recall seeing anything about this in the description. But maybe I didn't read it carefully enough.

Nella’s cottage is lovely and the photos don’t quite do it justice. We especially loved the screened porch and swing to listen to the river running by. The river is clear and cool and right outside the door. The setting is beautiful, the cottage is very comfortable and stocked with everything you need. Very comfortable beds, Wi-Fi, games, well stocked kitchen, a grill. I kind of felt like we were glamping. Nella was a great source of local information. Wished we could have stayed longer.
