This place was amazing with so many thoughtful touches. Our hosts communicated a couple times to ensure everything was perfect for us . The home was pristine. Loved that labels were placed for ease. Easy to find and a close drive to downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Felt very safe. Could not have asked for a better stay. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again!
The place was in a perfect location to go and come from downtown San Antonio. The place had everything you need and more. It was very clean and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Our home is located in Mahncke Park. It is an urban neighborhood being renovated and a park located just a few miles from downtown and the famous Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas, USA. The park feeds into the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and Brackenridge Park. The surrounding neighborhood was built around Mahncke Park. We are within walking distance of the Witte Museum and Brackenridge Park's train.
We are less than 5 miles to the Pearl Brewery District (a popular art deco area with restaurants, bars and farmer's market days) and downtown San Antonio. The Alamo, the Famous Riverwalk and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center are less than 5 miles from the house. You can even rent bikes at one of the city bike share kiosks, B Cycle Stations, next to the Witte Museum and ride down to the Alamo. The Mission Bike Trails are another fabulous way to see the history San Antonio has to offer. Our city has recently added electric scooters as another rental transportation method. You can find scooters around our neighborhood easily. Check out the BIRD and LIME scooter apps.
Central Market grocery store is less than half a mile from the house and it has a great selection of fresh produce, bakery, wine selection and gelato. Worth a trip to sample their wide selection of cheeses and enjoy!
As for parking, we have a single-car spot behind the building. You may also park anywhere on the street.
The closest bus stop is just down the street. Check out the trip planning service on the VIA Transit.
Uber and Lyft are also accessible in San Antonio and very inexpensive to travel to downtown and surrounding areas.
